Now this is a festivus for the rest of us.
Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Larry David got together on December 24th for a small Seinfeld reunion.
“‘The creatures were stirring…’ Jerry wrote in a Dec. 26 Instagram post. “Christmas Eve 2025.”
Jerry, Julia, and Larry are pictured together in a home, smiling and laughing in front of a white wall.
Larry usually worked behind the scenes as a co-creator and producer of the famous sitcom. He collaborated closely with Jerry, who played a version of himself, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine Benes, and Jason Alexander as George Costanza.
The cast got together casually less than two weeks after Larry lost his close friends Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner on December 14th. He had recently honored them with a statement alongside fellow actors Billy Crystal, Martin Short, and others.
The group stated on December 16th that no other director could match his versatility. He excelled in every genre, from comedies and dramas to mockumentaries and true documentaries. He had a gift for captivating audiences who consistently trusted and eagerly awaited his films.
Since Seinfeld concluded in 1998, Larry David has orchestrated a few reunions of the cast. The most famous occurred in 2009 when he and Jeff Schaffer cleverly wrote a Seinfeld reunion into an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, essentially creating a show-within-a-show.

Larry wrote in his recently published book, No Lessons Learned, that they thought the idea would be enjoyable, and they hadn’t come up with anything better at the time.
Jerry, who created the show alongside Larry, also shared why the storyline in Larry’s series was more effective than a typical reunion episode.
Jerry explained in his memoir that he thought appearing on Larry David’s show was the ideal way to have a reunion, because a traditional network reunion wouldn’t have suited their dynamic.
