The Kadokawa Corporation, along with partners Crunchyroll, Qzil.la, and ARCH, have officially unveiled the anime adaptation of “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” titled “Sekiro: No Defeat.” This series will be available for global streaming on Crunchyroll, except in Japan, China, South Korea, Russia, and Belarus. As of now, a release date has not been disclosed.
Here is the story synopsis:
The time is Sengoku.
In Japan, various autonomous states are constantly at odds with each other. At the heart of it all is Ashina, a land steeped in spiritual significance and age-old enigmas. Twenty years after the Sword Saint Isshin Ashina seized control through a violent power grab, a fresh danger arises internally: The Interior Ministry. To shield his native soil, Isshin’s grandson Genichiro resorts to forbidden magical forces. The only potential solution rests with a captive child-the Divine Heir-and his unspoken guardian: the devoted shinobi named Sekiro.
This narrative follows a noble and his loyal servant as they embark on a journey to reestablish harmony in a country teetering on the brink of chaos.
