
A new movie version of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility is coming out soon! The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Esmé Creed-Miles, Caitríona Balfe, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, George MacKay, and Fiona Shaw.
Focus Features will release the new film Sense and Sensibility in U.S. cinemas on September 11, 2026. Moviegoers in the U.K. will be able to see it in theaters starting September 26, 2026.
Based on Jane Austen’s debut novel, the story centers on sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood as they search for love after their father passes away. In the new adaptation, Emma Mackey stars as Elinor, while Tom Creed-Miles plays Marianne, and Caitríona Balfe (known for Outlander) portrays their mother, Mrs. Dashwood.
