On August 12th, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be released for PlayStation 5, but gamers across all platforms can enjoy a free upgrade on the same day. As revealed by Xbox Wire, this update introduces a new Performance Mode that lets players immerse themselves in the action-adventure at a faster 60 frames per second pace on consoles.
For PC gamers, there’s a fresh “Very High” graphics setting available, along with Steam Deck verification for the game. In terms of gameplay, Ninja Theory is reintroducing The Dark Rot, originally from Senua’s Sacrifice. When Senua falls in the game, The Dark Rot spreads across her body. If it reaches her head, it’s game over, and your progress will be lost permanently, offering a tough, hardcore gaming experience.
The Photo Mode will see upgrades too, such as a Video Capture section in a new Motion tab and refinements to various settings. Additionally, there will be approximately 4 hours of commentary from the actors, developers, and others involved in production.
I’m excitedly counting down the moments until the next update unveils more information about it! The highly-anticipated game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, is now playable on Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you’re as keen as I am, don’t forget to read our review right here!
