WWE usually has a lot going on with different storylines, but everything has been overshadowed recently by what happened after the Crown Jewel event. The focus is now on WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who is said to be injured. This injury has forced WWE to quickly change its plans for Monday Night Raw, catching many people off guard. While new reports suggest Rollins is genuinely hurt, fans are skeptical because of a previous injury storyline, and aren’t quick to believe WWE’s version of events this time.
According to PWInsider, Seth Rollins may need surgery on his shoulder or rotator cuff. While it’s unclear how long recovery would take – and whether he’d have to give up his championship – his removal from WWE’s upcoming tour of Japan suggests a real injury. WWE recently updated the tour lineup, and Rollins is no longer scheduled to appear.
Seth Rollins Has Been Pulled From Events, But Fans Still Aren’t Convinced
Usually, if a major performer suddenly cancels an appearance, it suggests they’re hurt, even if it’s just to be safe. However, WWE’s recent handling of the situation with Seth Rollins has made people skeptical, and it’s understandable why fans are now hesitant to believe any similar announcements.
To make things more confusing, WWE and Seth Rollins previously worked hard to mislead fans. Rollins gave several interviews while pretending to be injured and using crutches, and there was a lot of uncertainty about whether the injury was real. He even continued to use the crutches in public, making it seem believable, and his appearance on the Rich Eisen show was particularly convincing at the time.
The previous storyline with Punk made this recent turn of events even more impactful. However, a few months later, we’re facing a similar situation, but this time it appears to be a real injury. Unlike before, WWE has already clearly signaled a change in direction, with The Vision turning on him and attacking him on Raw. This suggests they’re prepared to move forward with a new storyline, regardless of how long he might be sidelined.
It’s similar to how Andrew Garfield’s appearance in *Spider-Man: No Way Home* was handled – someone successfully misled everyone, but the surprise was kept under wraps. It worked incredibly well, but now it’s harder to convince people when something similar happens, and understandably so.
It’s still unclear if Rollins is genuinely injured or if this is just a storyline to engage fans, but we should know more soon. You can find the complete schedule for both nights of the Japan tour listed below.
