Bandai Namco has released an update (version 1.1.0) for their 2D action platformer, Shadow Labyrinth, based on PAC-MAN. The update focuses on making the game easier to enjoy with improvements to saving, fast travel, how you control Mini-PUCK, and the ability to select and adjust the game’s difficulty. Bandai Namco hasn’t announced when the update will be available.
Here is a message from the development team on the update:
As a huge fan, I just want to say thank you to everyone who’s been playing! Honestly, your feedback means the world to us – it’s what really motivates us and helps us make the game even better.
Reflections
We created Shadow Labyrinth with a core idea in mind: exploring a maze, consuming everything in your path, and becoming more powerful as you do.
We truly appreciate all the feedback and opinions our players have shared about the game.
Particularly:
- Inconvenience of saving / traveling
- Mini-PUCK play control in MAZE sections
- High difficulty
Many players experienced these issues, and we believe the development team needs to take them seriously and work to fix them.
Purpose of the Version Update
The next update isn’t just about fixing problems. We’re completely changing how the game plays to make Shadow Labyrinth more fun and accessible for everyone.
The game offers adjustable difficulty settings and a more engaging experience thanks to intuitive controls and well-placed save points.
We’re focusing the next update on these key features. We’re excited for you to try the new version of Shadow Labyrinth!
Sincerely,
Producer Aizawa
Production Producer Takahashi
Director FukuD
You can now play Shadow Labyrinth on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch, and PC through Steam.
