Shadowverse to end service on June 30

Cygames has announced that the digital card game Shadowverse will stop being available after 10 years, with service ending on June 30th at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time / 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time. However, its replacement, Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, launched on June 17, 2025, for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) and mobile devices (iOS and Android) and will continue to operate.

Shadowverse was first released on mobile devices – for iOS through the App Store and Android via Google Play – on June 17, 2016. It then became available on PC through Steam on October 28, 2016.

Greetings from the Shadowverse Team!

We’re announcing that service for Shadowverse will end on June 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The entire Shadowverse Team wants to sincerely thank all of our players for their support over the years.

Shadowverse first appeared on June 17, 2016, starting as a game related to Rage of Bahamut, but it quickly became its own unique title. Over the past ten years, it’s grown significantly with additions like the Portalcraft class, Rotation and Unlimited play formats, and new modes such as Take Two and Cross Craft. We’ve released over 5,000 cards in 32 different sets, partnered with popular games and franchises, and created 20 story chapters filled with memorable characters.

Thanks to your incredible support, Shadowverse has grown beyond our initial expectations. We were able to enter the world of esports, hosting several major tournaments – the World Grand Prix being the most prominent, with prize pools reaching 100 million yen. This success also led to exciting new ways to enjoy Shadowverse, including the physical card game Shadowverse: Evolve, the Nintendo Switch game Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle, and animated series like Shadowverse and Shadowverse Flame.

The original Shadowverse game will end after ten years, but its spirit lives on in Shadowverse: Evolve and the upcoming Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond. To celebrate the final three months of Shadowverse, we have several events planned. You can find details in the announcement linked here.

Schedule Leading Up to Shadowverse End of Service

    • Following the March 24, 2026 (PT), maintenance
      • Crystals will no longer be available for purchase.
      • Note: You will be able to continue using crystals that you have already purchased.
    • 7:00 p.m., March 31, 2026 (PT)
      • Throwback Rotation card pool resets
      • Battle Pass Season 23 begins

With Shadowverse service ending soon, crystals will no longer be sold. To compensate, all players will receive the Premium Pass. Additionally, “Leader Card in Three!” card pack bundles will also no longer be available for purchase.
