Sharna Burgess is a professional dancer, but it seems her fiancé, Brian Austin Green, is quite skilled at having babies!
The former Dancing With the Stars professional recently shared details about starting a family with her Beverly Hills, 90210 actor fiancé, explaining that he’s always been someone who makes decisions about having children in the moment, without a lot of planning.
Brian is a strong swimmer, and he’s shared before that all five of his children were unexpected. While he loves and appreciates each of them – believing everyone receives what they’re meant to have – he’s never experienced the joy of planning a pregnancy. He mentioned this on the February 4th episode of the Between Us Moms podcast.
Sharna, who shares 3-year-old Zane with Brian, also said she’s excited for him to experience the process of building and preparing for something new when the time comes.
Brian, age 52, is a father to a young son named Zane. He also has four older children: Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, Journey, 9, with his former wife Megan Fox, and Kassius, 23, with ex-partner Vanessa Marcil.
Sharna mentioned that despite already having a busy life, she and Brian hope to have another child in the future.
She explained that Brian had a vasectomy, but they’ve kept their options open for having another child through procedures like IVF. They feel good knowing they have that control, and she added that having another child would be wonderful.
She said it wasn’t essential to have a daughter, though she’d love one. She’s always pictured having both a son and a daughter, but ultimately, she believes she’ll have the child she’s meant to have.

Until that day comes, Sharna will be doing everything she can to make it a reality.
I’ve completed fertility testing, and now we’re looking at freezing embryos to preserve the possibility of having a baby. I’m 40, and my doctors say my body could still carry a pregnancy at 43 or 44, so I feel like I’m at a good point in the process with things moving forward.
It’s a really difficult conversation to have around the age of 40,” she explained. “You’re very aware of the ticking clock. The chances of success with IVF aren’t certain, and the stakes feel higher. Plus, there’s this constant worry that if you delay trying, it might not happen at all.”
From the beginning of her relationship with Brian in 2020, Sharna has always been honest about the challenges and rewards of combining their families and creating a positive environment for everyone.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen firsthand how shared priorities can make a huge difference, and that’s exactly what’s happening with my family. Back in June 2023, right before I got engaged, it really hit me that we’re all on the same page when it comes to raising our kids. It makes co-parenting with Megan and Vanessa – who are both amazing moms – feel incredibly smooth and natural.
Sharna shared on the Not So Hollywood podcast that the most important thing is the children. She emphasized that creating a positive and nurturing environment for them is the sole priority.
Sharna recently stated that she parents her biological son and her stepchildren exactly the same way, making no distinction between them.
In December, Sharna responded to a fan question on Instagram, explaining that she parents her other children just like she parents Zane. She uses the same rules—adjusted for each child’s age—and gives them all the same amount of love, affection, and opportunities to thrive and succeed.
Ever since Zane joined the family, I’ve been careful to make sure all the children feel equally loved and valued,” she explained. “I never want anyone to feel left out or like they’re not treated the same.

Brian Austin Green spent a relaxing morning cuddling with his three sons, Noah (born in 2012), Bodhi (born in 2014), and Journey (born in 2016), who he shares with his ex-wife, Megan Fox.

Following his split from Megan in 2020, actor Brian Austin Green began a relationship with Sharna Burgess, his partner on Dancing with the Stars. They had a son, Zane, in 2022, and got engaged in 2023.

Oh my gosh, did you know MGK – Colson Baker, that’s his real name – actually had a daughter, Casie, way back in 2009 with Emma Cannon? It feels like forever ago! And then, fast forward to 2023, he got engaged to Megan! I’ve been following his whole journey, and it’s just… amazing!

Megan is dedicated to co-parenting, but she’s honest about the challenges. In a 2022 interview with Glamour UK, she explained that it’s difficult balancing her desire to be with her children constantly with the feeling that she’s not measuring up. She also acknowledges the reality of sharing custody with her ex-partner, meaning she only gets to spend half the time with her kids, and accepts that’s simply the situation.

Brian has a blended family that includes his adult son, Kassius, from his previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil. In December 2023, the actor shared a holiday photo with his partner, Sharna, and all five of his children.

Being a mother helps Megan stay centered and connected to what truly matters. She shared with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in 2023 that it reminds her of how present she’s always been in her children’s lives. She also sees her own parenting reflected in their actions and personalities.

In 2022, the actress known for Jennifer’s Body shared a rare photo with the singer of “Emo Girl” and his daughter. The picture was taken at his coffee shop, 27 Club Coffee, in Ohio.

The popular singer now relies on his daughter’s feedback when creating music. He told Kelly Clarkson in 2021 that he values her opinion above his own, explaining that she understands what’s currently popular and can tell him if a song is a good fit.

Brian celebrated Mother’s Day 2024 by publicly sharing his love for Sharna on Instagram. He called her an amazing mother and fiancée, and expressed how much everyone adores her.

Megan intentionally keeps her children off social media to shield them, particularly from online exposure. As she explained to Glamour UK in 2022, she decided early on to protect them as much as possible. While they’ve been successful in preserving their children’s innocence so far, she recognizes that won’t always be possible.

Brian’s key to successful co-parenting is choosing when to get involved in disagreements. He explained to TopMob News in 2024 that separation will inevitably impact children, but parents can control how it affects them. He believes trying to shield kids completely from the effects of separation isn’t realistic, and focusing on how those effects manifest is more productive.

Megan avoids saying negative things about her children’s father when they’re around. As she explained on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2023, she believes that disapproving of their father would be like rejecting a piece of her own children, since he’s an important part of who they are.

Brian shared a photo on Instagram of his kids enjoying a sunny day in Malibu, writing, “Great day!!”

Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) has said his daughter played a key role in his journey to sobriety. He shared on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast that she noticed when he was using drugs, and that realization was a turning point for him. MGK, who has been sober since August 2023, explained he wants to be a better father than his own, and getting clean is part of breaking a pattern for his daughter.

Sharna expressed her gratitude to Brian’s children for giving her a preview of motherhood. Speaking on the Quite Frankly podcast in 2023, she explained that being around them allowed her to practice parenting skills and gain confidence. She realized she had a natural ability with kids and felt prepared to become a mother herself.

As a parent, you can relate to this! I remember being on The Masked Singer back in 2020, and I was so thrilled thinking my kids would watch with me. I pictured a fun family viewing experience, but honestly? They were asleep after just fifteen minutes. It’s a good reminder that even exciting moments don’t always go as planned, especially when little ones are involved!

No job is too big for the TV star and his mini-mes.

Brian had a vasectomy about two months after their son, Zane, was born, but he could potentially reverse the procedure later if they wanted. Sharna mentioned on the Oldish podcast in January that they would consider it, saying, “If we have the room and can manage it, I definitely would.” However, with four young children, their lives are already incredibly full.

On March 27, 2025, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly had a baby girl, adding to their family. The rocker even wrote an original song for his daughter’s arrival, collaborating with friends like Travis Barker.
“She’s finally here,” MGK exclaimed in a post on Instagram, “our little celestial seed.”

I always say, some of the best moments are the simple ones! Back in April of 2025, I got to spend some quality time with Brian, Sharna, and their adorable kids – Zion, Noah, Bodhi, and Journey. We enjoyed a little treat and a lot of laughter – it was a really sweet day!

Machine Gun Kelly recently spent some special time with his daughter Casie, not long after he and Megan Fox welcomed their new baby girl.
