Sharna Burgess Slams Comment Saying Her Son “Looks Like a Girl”

Sharna Burgess is firing back. 

The former contestant on “Dancing With the Stars” responded to a comment on a picture of her, Brian Austin Green, and their 3-year-old son Zane Green, who was labeled as looking like a girl by a social media user. She took action against this remark.

On September 2, a video was posted on Sharna’s Instagram featuring Zane. Sporting his long blond hair in a bun and dressed casually in khaki shorts, a green shirt, and sneakers, Zane held up a sign that read “Zane’s first day of Pre-K”. Surrounding him were his half-brothers – Noah (12), Bodhi (11), and Journey (8) – who are shared by their father Brian with ex-wife Megan Fox. Excitedly, they cheered on Zane as he prepared to embark on this significant milestone.

In reaction to the charming video, one individual commented, “Wow, even this guy appears feminine. Why do all of his friends seem to as well?

Instead of ignoring the impolite message, Sharna responded by leaving a comment beneath the post, saying, “Open up your account for comments so I can tell you what I think about your appearance.

In a previous instance, Sharna, who became engaged to Brian in 2023, a year following the birth of Zane, has responded to criticisms regarding the appearance of their children, which she’s faced on multiple occasions.

To put it simply, the woman of 38 years had once shared that she wouldn’t agree to involve her combined family in a reality TV series due to the potential negativity associated with such shows.

In the October 2024 episode of the Between Us Moms podcast, Sharna clarified her stance by saying, “We haven’t cut Zane’s hair yet and some articles imply I’m making him a girl. Others claim our children are being forced to be girls, but I can’t fathom this notion.

The dancer made it clear that she has no desire for her kids to face any additional mockery, so she prefers them not to be exposed to further embarrassment.

She suggested, “Let’s picture ourselves hosting a genuine television program. The spotlight isn’t beneficial for our children, and it doesn’t fit Brian’s personality as well.

Despite her wish for no child to endure such intense scrutiny, Sharna finds solace in the fact that her son is surrounded by an exceptional network of support as he embarks on new stages of his life.

In the caption of her Instagram post, it was stated that his family encouraged him this morning (you can hear it), and they accompanied him for his first school drop-off.

“My blended tribe is my everything,” Sharna added. “We are so lucky.”
