Sharon Osbourne will always have Kelly Osbourne’s back.
Kelly Osbourne spoke out to protect her daughter on Piers Morgan Uncensored after the show played a clip of her responding to criticism about her looks following her father, Ozzy Osbourne’s, death in July.
Honestly, it’s just… infuriating. People are leaving these awful comments – things like, ‘Are you sick?’ or accusing me of using Ozempic, or just saying I don’t look right. And it’s like, can they not see what’s going on? My dad literally just passed away, and I’m just trying to get through each day. I’m doing the best I possibly can, and those comments are just… cruel. It feels like they’re deliberately trying to hurt me when I’m at my most vulnerable.
Honestly, my family is everything to me right now – it’s what gets me through each day. That’s why, when I share things online, I really focus on the good stuff, the happy moments. I just want to share positivity and joy, not bring anyone down with negativity.
Kelly concluded her message by telling her critics to “F–k off.”
Sharon, who is also mother to Aimee, 42, and Jack Osbourne, 40, completely agreed with Kelly.
“She’s right,” Sharon told Piers. “She’s lost her daddy. She can’t eat right now.”

Kelly’s weight loss sparked some thought from Sharon about social media. She observed that people often leave negative comments because they’re dealing with their own unhappiness, and they frequently misunderstand what life is like for public figures.
She wondered how often we misjudge people based on our own impressions. She then pointed out that neither she nor the listener would bother wasting time writing about someone – visiting their website, investing effort, and generally focusing on them. She emphasized that it takes a lot of work to do that, making it a surprising expenditure of energy.
The 73-year-old admitted that she often feels sorry for those people.
“They’ve something wrong with their lives,” she added. “They’re not happy.”

As someone who’s navigated a lot of public attention, I completely understand dealing with both support and criticism, especially during a difficult time. I recently shared my feelings after losing my dog, Ozzy, and was so touched by the overwhelming kindness from so many people online. It truly meant the world. However, I also had to address some negativity regarding my appearance, and I wanted to reiterate that positive support is what really makes a difference. It’s something my fiancé, Sid Wilson, and I, as parents to our son Sidney, really appreciate.
She asked, “What do you want me to look like?” She felt that simply getting up, dealing with life, and making an effort should be enough, and she deserved credit for even doing that.
Kelly told those leaving these “sick comments” to “take a strong, hard look at yourself.”
She finished by saying that most of my criticisms weren’t about me at all, but rather a reflection of how I felt about myself.
Kelly isn’t alone in speaking out against body shaming. Expect to hear from other celebrities who are also challenging their critics.

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s daughter shared in a TikTok video on May 3rd that she’d experienced something upsetting: two strangers made comments about her body. She described it as a significant milestone, highlighting the unfortunately common experience of receiving unwanted attention online.
She explained that one person told her she should use Ozempic because they thought she was overweight, while another accused her of starving herself because she was too thin. She pointed out that her weight hadn’t changed during that time, and even if it had, it wouldn’t be anyone else’s concern.
Ava believes everyone deserves to be accepted for who they are, regardless of their appearance. She explained that you never know what challenges someone might be facing, and true beauty goes far beyond how someone looks.

Following negative comments about her body, the singer of “I’m Good” responded to her critics, explaining she’s fed up with constant commentary on her appearance. In a tweet on June 23rd, she acknowledged gaining weight, stating, “I know I got fat,” and added, “I’m just so sick of people talking about it. NEXT!!!!!!”
She also explained that everyone’s weight naturally changes, and you never know the reasons why – things like medication or illness can play a role.

Following criticism about her appearance in an Instagram photo, the actress known for The House Bunny responded to those commenting on her weight. She explained that while she usually doesn’t feel the need to address such comments, she wanted to raise awareness about body shaming. She admitted she was upset by the inappropriate remarks left on her picture, especially because she was just having fun with the silly photos. She noted that the angle of the picture even made her feel smaller, but emphasized that people don’t have the right to leave negative and judgmental comments about anyone’s body.
She explained that comments about her weight, whether criticizing her for being too thin or telling her to eat more, are hurtful and contribute to body shaming. She firmly stated she won’t tolerate any form of body shaming.
Over a week later, she posted a bikini photo with a message for her critics, playfully telling them she’ll continue to smile no matter what, and ending with a kiss and peach emoji.

In February 2021, the actress responded to online rumors about her being pregnant. The speculation started when photos of her on a movie set in Australia, wearing a dark blue tank top, circulated online. She publicly called out the New York Post on Instagram, stating she wasn’t pregnant and questioning why it’s still acceptable to comment on a woman’s body in 2021.

Christina Hall, known from the show Flip or Flop, recently addressed online criticism about her body. In a video posted to Instagram on February 7th, she explained that she’s at her natural weight, and people are simply noticing the changes after her pregnancies. She reassured fans that she’s healthy and doing well, asking them not to worry about her appearance.

The singer, who recently faced criticism online about her body and weight, responded to the negativity without saying a word.
During her performance at Manchester Pride 2025, she wore a large T-shirt featuring a design of a woman in a cropped tank top and black pushup bra.

After her separation from Jim Edmonds, the former Bravo star asked fans to stop commenting on her weight. She admitted on Instagram in December 2019, ‘I’m too thin,’ and responded to comments like ‘Eat a burger.’ She added that she deserves understanding and is prioritizing her children during a difficult time, doing her best to maintain her dignity.

The singer, who recently faced criticism for being “too skinny,” responded to the comments in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She questioned what was wrong with her body, explaining that she’s naturally thin due to her dedication to ballet, stretching, and regular workouts, which she says benefit her overall well-being.
She explained that criticism comes with the territory, and she prioritizes her own well-being. She focuses on what benefits her and leaves behind what doesn’t, letting her team handle any negative reactions. Ultimately, she believes it’s impossible to please everyone, so she needs to focus on her own feelings and what’s best for her.

Back in June 2020, singer Lizzo responded to people criticizing her body. In a TikTok video, she explained that she’s been consistently working out for five years, but not to achieve anyone else’s beauty standards. She clarified she’s focused on reaching her personal fitness goals, and that’s nobody’s concern. She powerfully stated that she’s beautiful, strong, capable, and focused on her work.

The singer known for her song “Confident” has consistently spoken out against body shaming. In a 2016 interview with Glamour, she explained that when someone calls her fat, even when she’s feeling insecure, she just laughs it off, knowing she’s doing her best. She also pointed out that she doesn’t have, nor does she necessarily want, a six-pack, finding the idea unappealing.

After an actress who has won an Oscar shared a nude photo online, someone criticized her, writing in a now-deleted tweet that it was inappropriate for a woman in her 50s to post such content, suggesting she should be spending time with her grandchildren instead. The commenter lamented that people no longer seem to age gracefully.
Halle quickly responded with a playful comment: “Did you know a shrimp’s heart is in its head?”

Singer Camila Cabello recently addressed online criticism on Instagram. She explained she’d been avoiding social media to protect her feelings, but accidentally saw people commenting on her body. Initially, she felt insecure about the photos, worrying about cellulite and not looking ‘perfect.’ However, she quickly realized that everyone has bad angles and that striving for unrealistic perfection, especially with heavily edited photos online, is harmful. She wrote the message for young girls like her sister who are growing up seeing airbrushed images and mistaking them for reality. Cabello emphasized that this creates an unrealistic standard of beauty, and that things like cellulite and natural fat are normal and beautiful. She concluded by saying she refuses to participate in that negativity and encourages others to do the same.

In May 2019, the singer shared a video of her performance at the Hangout Music Festival, where she was wearing a black leotard. Someone commented on social media, questioning her body and comparing it to how she looked previously. The singer responded directly, stating she had gained weight and asking people to accept it.
She criticized the fashion industry, saying some designers wouldn’t dress her for the Grammys because of her size. In a January 2019 Instagram post, she urged people to embrace body positivity, stating, “Let’s empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel bad about their size.” She emphasized that beauty comes in all sizes and proudly declared she would be attending the Grammys regardless, using the hashtag #LOVEYOURBODY.

The celebrity had previously shared a photo of her family celebrating the Golden State Warriors’ win over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. In the picture, she’s holding her son, Canon. Someone then commented, asking if she was pregnant again.
She firmly said no, adding with a laugh that her 30-pound son was making it difficult to pose for pictures because he was so heavy.
Someone else commented that if the child weighed 30 pounds, they would have significant health problems. The cookbook author quickly responded, firmly telling the commenter, “Excuse me? Absolutely not.”

Only a week after giving birth, the podcast host shared a message with her followers on Instagram.
She shared a post in December 2018 expressing her frustration with negative comments she’d received. She’d originally wanted to share a photo of her stomach to document her recovery journey, but decided against it after being taken aback by the rudeness of some reactions to a previous photo. She clarified that she hadn’t had cosmetic surgery, doesn’t have a chef, and wasn’t able to exercise every day. She explained she’d had a C-section, was still recovering, and takes pain medication, but has a high pain tolerance. She also mentioned previous abdominal surgeries for her appendix and gallbladder. In the photo people were commenting on, she was wearing a belly wrap and high-waisted pants, and felt she had to defend herself. She questioned why women feel the need to compare and criticize each other’s bodies, instead of accepting that everyone’s journey and body is unique and beautiful. She encouraged self-compassion and supporting other women without putting themselves down, and asked if they could try to be kinder to one another. She ended with a message of love and a return to focusing on her baby.

In April 2018, actress Candace Cameron Bure posted a photo of herself having dinner with her son, Lev Bure. Someone commented negatively, questioning why she still appeared heavier than her husband despite her workouts and asking if she’d changed her eating habits.
The actress quickly responded to the criticism. She wrote, “If a 25-inch waist seems large to you, it’s because you’re viewing it with unrealistic expectations. Take care.”
