Fellow British performer Elton John also paid tribute to Ozzy, calling him a “true legend.”

He was a cherished friend, a groundbreaking figure in rock music who earned his spot among the legends, as stated on Instagram by the 78-year-old. He was also incredibly funny. His absence will be deeply felt. My heartfelt condolences and love go out to Sharon and the family.

Simultaneously, Jason Momoa – who recently hosted Ozzy’s farewell show – posted a picture featuring him and Sharon alongside the music legend.

Prior to their recognition as Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, and Tommy Iommi were previously known by the name Earth.

Originating from Birmingham, England in 1948 as John Michael Osbourne, Ozzy faced difficulties with formal education initially. However, it was his ardor for music that eventually spurred him onward.

In 2010, he shared with The Associated Press that his education level upon leaving school was slightly greater than when he initially attended, despite the challenges posed by dyslexia. One of his sisters often teased him for his reading difficulties, which added to the embarrassment he felt.

On the Diary of a Madman tour, Ozzy Osbourne, performing as a solo act, graced Madison Square Garden two days following an incident where he assumedly mistook a real bat for a prop and took a bite, an event that later became notorious in music history.

In the documentary, Ozzy remarked, “I assumed it was a rubber bat,” he continued, “so I went ahead and took a bite. To my surprise, it turned out to be genuine, leaving me exclaiming, ‘Oh dear! It’s authentic!’

Later that year, he married his manager, Sharon Arden.

In an unmistakable style, the “Iron Man” vocalist, sporting his signature dark eyeliner, struck a pose with a cigarette prior to a show in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Their first child together is Aimee Osbourne, warmly received by Ozzy and Sharon.
