Sharon Osbourne Shares Unique New Hobby After Ozzy Osbourne’s Death

Sharon Osbourne is finding joy where she can.

Approximately two months following the passing of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, due to a heart attack at the age of 76, the former music agent has provided a glimpse into her life and revealed that she’s found a new interest in life, largely inspired by her daughter Kelly Osbourne.

Today, I shared the fascinating world of falconry with my mom, and she absolutely adored it! – Kelly, September 11. “A big thank you to @gerardsulter for making my mom’s day brighter as well!” (Instagram post)

In the video posted by Sharon (age 72) on her Instagram Story, Sharon and her daughter visited the Cornwall Falconry farm in England. There, they interacted with various birds of prey, including a large owl that perched on Kelly’s head for several minutes before flying over to Sharon.

Kelly instructed, “Mum, put your hand out.”

After the bird had flown over to Sharon, she petted her newly-acquired flying companion while saying to the owl, “I’m sorry, but I don’t have anything to offer you.

Although Sharon, who is mother to Aimee Osbourne (age 41) and Jack Osbourne (age 39), both children with Ozzy, has kept her mourning process personal, Kelly has been open about the challenging path she’s taken since her father’s demise.

Grief is an unexpected and mysterious emotion,” she posted on her Instagram Story on August 4. “It comes in sudden surges, leaving me not alright for some time. However, knowing that my family are not the only ones feeling this pain gives me a sense of comfort. I’m clinging tightly to the love, the brightness, and the lasting memory we have created.

The 40-year-old woman, who has a three-year-old son named Sidney with her fiancé Sid Wilson, mentioned that she had attempted to express her feelings in writing on numerous occasions but found it challenging to find the right words that truly conveyed her emotions.

Apart from Kelly, she also expressed gratitude to Ozzy’s followers, stating, “The affectionate messages, encouragement, and memories you’ve all shared with me during the toughest time in my life have been instrumental in helping me keep going. Each heartfelt sentiment, each recollection, every display of empathy has carried more weight than I could possibly express.

Speaking of Sharon, just prior to his passing, she – an alumnus of The Osbournes series – spoke candidly about Ozzy’s enduring legacy. She expressed her immense pride in his July 5 “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert.

In my perspective, I always desired for Ozzy’s departure not to be ordinary, but rather marked by a significant event. And what could be more fitting than returning home to where it all began? That is, making a stop at his favorite stadium worldwide – Villa Park, the home of his cherished Aston Villa football team. It was simply the ideal conclusion.

And the reaction to the event left Ozzy speechless.

That evening, Sharon recounted, Ozzy expressed surprise by saying, “I didn’t realize so many people appreciated me,” a sentiment she noted showed he often lives in his own world.

Initially, the members who would later form Black Sabbath-Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, and Tommy Iommi-performed under the band name Earth.

Born as John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham, England in 1948, Ozzy initially faced challenges in education. However, his love for music proved to be the driving force propelling him forward throughout his life.

In an interview with The Associated Press in 2010, he shared that his educational journey had improved slightly from when he first started school, despite facing challenges due to dyslexia. He often felt embarrassed and teased by one of his sisters because of his reading difficulties.

Without The Beatles introducing me to music in a significant manner, I’m not sure where I’d be today,” he went on. “Music has served as my escape, allowing me to break free from the environment and town where I grew up.

1968 saw the creation of Black Sabbath by him and his companions, sparked by a movie of the same title. Their self-titled first album experienced significant commercial success. Ozzy eagerly embraced a ghoulish photoshoot. His dismissal from Black Sabbath happened just a year prior, stemming from his battles with substance addiction.

In his documentary, ‘Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne’, he stated, “Money, much like alcohol and drugs, led me to act unwisely during that period.” He further added, “That time represents one of the darkest moments in my life.

On the Diary of a Madman tour, Ozzy Osbourne performed at Madison Square Garden as a solo act, following an incident two days prior where a bat thrown onto the stage was mistakenly thought to be a prop by him and taken a bite out of it.

In the documentary, Ozzy expressed that he initially believed the object was a rubber bat. He then playfully put it in his mouth and chomped on it, only to realize too late that it was actually real. Caught off guard, he exclaimed something along the lines of “Oh no!” as he discovered his mistake, still embodying his characteristic humor.

Later that year, he married his manager, Sharon Arden.

In an instance reminiscent of his signature style, the “Iron Man” vocalist, adorned with dark eyeliner, was photographed casually holding a cigarette prior to a show in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Ozzy and Sharon had their first child together, namely Aimee Osbourne.

After completing their Bark at the Moon tour, Vince Neil of Ozzy and Mötley Crüe stood pose, while Ozzy and Sharon were thrilled to welcome their child, Kelly Osbourne.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d rephrase it as follows: Back in 1982, I, much like Ozzy and Sharon, found myself basking in paradise during a vacation in Brazil. And just like them, I too became a parent to a wonderful son, Jack Osbourne.
