Sharon Osbourne is coping with the loss of her late husband Ozzy Osbourne.
Approximately two months after the death of the Black Sabbath rock star, who was 76 and had been fighting Parkinson’s disease, his wife of 43 years expressed a touching tribute to fans who had extended their sympathy.
Sharon posted on Instagram, September 12th: “I’m still struggling to put into words how thankful I am for the incredible love and backing you’ve shown on social media. Your comments, posts, and dedications have offered me more solace than you can imagine. Not a single gesture has gone unacknowledged, in fact, it’s been a source of strength that has helped me get through some tough times.
The woman, who is now 72 years old, offered some perspectives on navigating the loss of her husband, expressing that she’s “getting used to the change” but discovered immense pleasure from taking up a new pastime focusing on birds.
Sharon spoke about falconry, mentioning that the connection formed with these strong birds is based entirely on trust and faith. These birds will decide to land on you only when they sense your safety and lack of fear towards them. It’s a bond I am familiar with, and the encounter was nothing less than enchanting.
She said, “I really appreciate each and every one of you. You’ve been showering me with an extraordinary level of love, and I can’t help but express my gratitude for it.
On July 22nd, Ozzy passed away, approximately two weeks following the reunion with his Black Sabbath bandmates – Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – at England’s Villa Park for what was his last show. For this momentous event, Ozzy’s wife and their daughter, Kelly Osbourne, were among those who stood by him during his final performance, with Kelly being joined by her fiancé, Sid Wilson, in offering support backstage.
Prior to the concert, Sharon shared some information about Ozzy’s struggle, revealing his plans for a significant surgery.
She mentioned during a recent episode of ‘The Talk’ from the UK that she must be present for their upcoming trip to Los Angeles, as it could significantly impact the rest of his life.
Over the past few years, Ozzy has been open about his health challenges. He revealed in 2020 that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and also experienced difficulties with his neck following an ATV accident in 2003.
Speaking with Classic Rock in September 2022, the late “Crazy Train” singer confessed that he’s not walking as well these days. He revealed that he undergoes physical therapy each morning, and although his condition has improved somewhat, it’s still far from what he needs to be able to get back on tour.
Approximately a week before the reported death of an ex-member of the Osbourne family, Kelly refuted speculations that Ozzy was near death and had entered into a suicide agreement with Sharon, implying that they were false.
A 40-year-old woman shared on her Instagram Stories this month that there’s a video circulating on social media claiming to be her father but it turns out to be AI. The voice in the video sounds like her father or David Attenborough, and it begins by saying, “I don’t need someone to tell me I’m going to die; I already know I’m going to die.
As a devoted admirer, I find myself compelled to inquire, “Goodness gracious, might I ask why such a creation as this has been your focus?” or alternatively, “With all due respect, I can’t help but wonder what inspired you to devote time towards crafting something like this?
Even though he was dealing with serious health issues, Kelly firmly maintained that her father was not close to dying.
She stressed the point, “He isn’t going to die, I assure you. He does have Parkinson’s, and his mobility certainly isn’t what it once was, but he’s not facing death. Can’t you see that?
Instead of speculating about a potential suicide pact between Kelly’s parents, it was ultimately confirmed that the truth was made clear by Kelly herself.
She emphasized, “Cease creating content implying that my parents might be involved in a suicide agreement. That’s an absurdity I’ve heard my mother utter once for attention. My father is not in danger of passing away. Please desist.

Hailing from Birmingham, England, the legendary musician known as Ozzy Osbourne, formerly John Michael Osbourne, was born in 1948. It took two decades before his heavy metal band Black Sabbath, comprising of members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, made their debut.
In 1971, Ozzy married Thelma Riley, with whom he had children Louis and Jessica Osbourne. Elliot Kingsley, Thelma’s son from a previous relationship, also became part of the family. However, Ozzy discovered that fame had its dark side when he admitted to his excessive use of alcohol and drugs, stating “Money would buy the alcohol and the drugs.”
In 1979, Ozzy was dismissed from Black Sabbath and embarked on a solo career. He divorced Thelma in 1982 and married Sharon Osbourne, whose father managed Black Sabbath, that same year. Throughout their marriage, they were open about their struggles, such as Ozzy physically attacking Sharon while under the influence in 1989 and the divorce in 2016 due to infidelity. They welcomed children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne in the ’80s and renewed their vows in 2017.
Many of the family’s highs and lows were showcased on their reality TV series “The Osbournes,” which aired from 2002 to 2005. As his health declined, including battles with Parkinson’s disease and recoveries from injuries sustained in a 2003 ATV accident, Ozzy temporarily stepped back from the limelight. He performed in Black Sabbath’s final show in July 2025 before passing away weeks later at the age of 76.
1979 marked the beginning of Sharon’s role as Ozzy’s manager, a position she took on following his departure from Black Sabbath. However, their professional association soon evolved into something more romantic. In his autobiography, “Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne,” Ozzy confessed that he fell in love with Sharon despite still being married to someone else at the time.
Apart from managing Ozzy, Sharon has also represented acts like The Smashing Pumpkins, Motorhead, and The Electric Light Orchestra. However, her career took a turn towards television after the family’s groundbreaking series. Besides starring in “The Osbournes,” she competed on “Celebrity Apprentice,” served as a judge on “The X Factor” and “America’s Got Talent,” and hosted “The Talk” for 11 years until her dismissal in 2021.
Similar to Ozzy, Sharon has been open about her health battles over the years, including her victory over colon cancer in 2003, a preventive double mastectomy in 2012, and a hospitalization in 2022 due to an unspecified medical condition. Despite the numerous challenges life has thrown their way, they have remained each other’s biggest supporters.
In an interview with TopMob News in 2023, Sharon described herself and Ozzy as two “oddballs” who found each other in their wild youth. She admits that their relationship hasn’t always been easy, but emphasizes the importance of working through the tough times if you love each other. As she put it, “No relationship is easy, and you have to work at it. You get your ugly times, your bad times, and your horrific times. But if you love each other, you’ll work through.
As a lifestyle expert, let me share some insights about Aimee, the eldest child of the renowned music couple Ozzy and Sharon, born in September 1983. Despite being part of a famous family, she has carved out her own path in the world of music, both as a solo artist and with the band ARO.
Unlike her family members, Aimee opted not to join the reality TV show “The Osbournes” during its run in the 2000s. In an interview on “The Michael Anthony Show” in 2021, she explained her decision as a desire to protect her privacy and avoid being overshadowed by her father’s media presence. Being a teenager at the time, Aimee felt it was crucial to maintain her personal life’s confidentiality, especially considering the complexities within the family. Additionally, she believed that participating in the show wouldn’t align with her career aspirations.
Aimee has, however, engaged with the spotlight occasionally. She made an appearance in MTV’s 2003 adaptation of “Wuthering Heights,” lent her voice to the 2014 animated film “Postman Pat: The Movie,” and starred in several music videos of her own.
Regarding her relationship with her siblings, particularly her sister Kelly, they seem to have minimal communication. In an interview on “Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard” in 2024, Kelly shared that the two do not communicate, citing significant differences between them. As Kelly put it, “We don’t talk… We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me, I don’t understand her.
13 months after her elder sister was born, Sharon and Ozzy’s youngest daughter is named Kelly. A versatile personality, she has made a name for herself in various fields such as acting (with roles in “Life as We Know It” and “So Undercover” alongside Miley Cyrus), singing (having released two albums), reality television (appearing on “The Osbournes” and “Dancing With the Stars”), serving as a judge on panels for “Project Runway: Junior” and “Australia’s Got Talent”, designing, and hosting series like “Project Catwalk”, TopMob’s “Fashion Police” and “Lego Masters Jr.”
Kelly has been candid about the hurdles she’s encountered, including her struggle with addiction (now sober), past relationships (previously engaged to Luke Worrall and Matthew Mosshart), and negative comments regarding her body. Reflecting on her life in 2024, she told Us Weekly, “My life has come very far, and I am just so grateful for every mistake that I made in my life, for every lesson learned, for all of it. I have such an incredible life. What could I possibly complain about?”
Her life today includes her son Sidney, born in November 2022, and her fiancé Sid Wilson, who proposed in July 2025. “With Sidney arriving 18 months after I got sober, ‘I truly believe that my baby saved me and made me a whole human,’ she added to Us Weekly. “I don’t think I knew what love was before having the baby. I don’t think I truly had a purpose. I just went from thing, to thing, to thing, and this level of just self-hate and self-doubt that I used to have would take me out.
In November 1985, Jack, the youngest child of Sharon and Ozzy, was born. After gaining fame on their reality show, Jack ventured into acting, landing minor roles in shows like Dawson’s Creek and the film New York Minute, as well as appearing on various reality and competition programs such as Union Jack, Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie, Dancing With the Stars, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
In addition to acting, he has also produced documentaries like God Bless Ozzy Osbourne (2011) and Alpha Dogs (2013). He often combines these roles, producing and starring in shows like Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour and his paranormal series Portals to Hell.
Jack has been open about his personal life with his fans, discussing topics such as his mental health challenges, his journey towards sobriety in 2003, and the multiple sclerosis diagnosis he disclosed in 2012. In an interview with Today in 2017, he said, “I kind of see the diagnosis as a huge silver lining to be honest.” Before this, he would spend his days idly, but now he feels grateful for the motivation it provides, encouraging him to stay active and productive.
Jack is also thankful for his family, consisting of daughters Pearl, Andy, Minnie with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, and daughter Maple with wife Aree Gearheart.
Ozzy Osbourne’s oldest children, from his marriage to Thelma, spent relatively little time with their rocker father due to his frequent tours. In an interview for the 2011 documentary “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne,” Jessica reflected on her upbringing as being marked by long periods of absence and adjustment upon his return. She further described it as an unpredictable childhood with him. When he was at home, he often visited pubs. Louis added that when their father wasn’t intoxicated, he made a great father, but such instances were not very frequent.
After Ozzy and Thelma separated, they remained in contact, with Jessica even announcing his first grandchildhood on an episode of “The Osbournes.” Louis also shared that he periodically sees Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. When asked about their limited interaction, he mentioned that they are more likely to cross paths in a random New York hotel than gather for a Sunday meal at home. They tend to get together on special occasions.
In contrast to his unpredictable availability during their childhoods, Ozzy consistently made an effort to maintain contact with Louis and Jessica as adults, checking in regularly and spending time together when he visited the UK. He was described as being very attentive as a grandfather. Little information is available about their brother Elliot.
