Shawn Mendes Confirms Bruna Marquezine Romance With PDA-Filled Outing

There’s nothing holding Shawn Mendes back from his new romance.

Shawn Mendes was seen happily embracing actress Bruna Marquezine while grocery shopping in Los Angeles on January 7th.

Photos from their outing show Shawn and Bruna looking relaxed and comfortable in jeans and sweaters. They were seen hugging a lot, and in one picture, Shawn, 27, is embracing Bruna, 30, from the front, resting his head on her shoulder with his eyes closed. Another photo shows him wrapping his arms around her from behind.

Singer Becky G and actress Xolo Maridueña, who previously had an on-again, off-again relationship with soccer player Neymar between 2013 and 2018, were first linked romantically last month. They were seen on vacation together in Brazil, which marked Maridueña’s first public relationship since being rumored to date Charlie Travers from Big Brother UK in 2023.

After his two-year relationship with Camila Cabello ended in 2021—though they briefly got back together in 2023—Shawn Mendes has generally kept his personal life out of the public eye. However, in November 2024, he responded to rumors about his sexuality while performing his song “The Mountain,” which explores the same subject.

Shawn shared that he’s working on accepting his emotions and allowing himself to feel like a normal person. He doesn’t want to discuss it further at this time.
