One common complaint about Marvel’s Disney+ shows is that many of the new heroes they introduce haven’t made appearances beyond their own series. While characters like Ms. Marvel and aspects of Loki have appeared in the main Marvel movies, and Kate Bishop had a brief cameo, heroes such as Moon Knight, Agatha Harkness, and Echo have been limited to their respective TV shows. This lack of crossover makes it feel like these characters aren’t fully integrated into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.
She-Hulk is another popular Marvel character whose future with the MCU is uncertain despite a generally positive reception to her Disney+ series. The show successfully captured the character’s unique comic book trait of breaking the fourth wall, but there’s been no official word about her returning. Rumors even suggest actress Tatiana Maslany won’t reprise her role, and she recently spoke about these rumors in a way that suggests fans shouldn’t expect a comeback anytime soon.
Tatiana Maslany Addresses Her Marvel Future After MCU Rumors

Following the release of She-Hulk, there’s been some uncertainty about Tatiana Maslany’s future with the character. In 2024, she mentioned the show likely wouldn’t get a second season due to budget constraints – Disney reportedly declined to fund it after the first season’s costs. More recently, Maslany made headlines for urging fans to cancel their Disney+ and ESPN subscriptions when Jimmy Kimmel was temporarily removed from ABC. Then, last November, rumors surfaced that she wasn’t interested in returning. Maslany recently addressed these rumors on the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast, jokingly claiming she had turned down the opportunity to reprise her role.
When asked about some playful comments she’d made, Tatiana Maslany told Entertainment Tonight she wasn’t going to reveal whether she was joking or being serious. She continued to be coy when asked about her future with Marvel, simply repeating, “You’ll never know.” and adding, “I don’t know. Do you know? I don’t know.”
Maslany also mentioned that there’s plenty more to explore with the She-Hulk character. She pointed out that new She-Hulk comics are constantly being created, building on decades of stories dating back to the 1980s, and that this ongoing source material is really exciting.
Marvel hasn’t announced a second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but Tatiana Maslany could reprise her role in future Avengers films, like Doomsday or Secret Wars. For now, it’s amusing to watch fans and the media speculate about the show’s future.
