Shenmue 3 Enhanced Brings Big Upgrades and Must-Have Collector’s Editions to PS5

We don’t usually announce pre-orders before covering a game, but our loyal readers know Shenmue is different.

Shenmue 3, originally revealed at Gamescom last year, is coming to PlayStation 5, as well as other gaming systems.

This updated version of the game improves on the original, taking into account what players have said they want. You’ll notice changes like a new camera angle similar to the classic Dreamcast games, and the option to use a stamina system. We’ve also adjusted the in-game economy to make it easier to advance.

As a big fan, I really appreciate that the developers let you choose how much you want to update the game. You can keep the original PS4 experience exactly as it was if you prefer, which is cool. But honestly, I’d suggest turning on some of the improvements – while I loved what Shenmue 3 was trying to do, it definitely had a few rough spots, and these updates help with that!

Even more exciting news for fans like this author is the reveal of new Collector’s Editions.

As a huge fan, I’m excited to hear there’s not just a regular version of the game, with some really awesome cover art, but also a Special Edition and a Collector’s Edition! I can’t wait to see what those include.

Surprisingly, a release date for this new version hasn’t been announced yet. However, the publisher, ININ Games, promises to share details in the next few weeks.
