Shetland season 10 trailer teases a grim discovery for Calder and Tosh

Fans won’t have to wait much longer for season 10 of Shetland, starring DI Ruth Calder and DI Alison ‘Tosh’ McIntosh – the first trailer is now available!

In a first look at the new series, Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donnell play detectives investigating the unsettling murder of an older woman in a secluded village.

“I hear it was pretty bad up there,” says Samuel Anderson’s new procurator fiscal Matt Blake.

“Yeah,” replies Calder. “About as bad as it gets.”

The six-part series started filming in April and will premiere on BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm on Wednesday, November 5th.

In the remote village of Lunniswick, the body of Eadie Tulloch, a recently retired social worker, has been discovered after being exposed to the weather for several days.

Calder and Tosh suspect the town’s residents aren’t being honest about their connections to Eadie, and they start to uncover a tangled network of secrets. To make matters worse, one member of the team discovers a personal connection to the case, straining their relationships and testing their loyalty.

Joining Jensen and O’Donnell, the series will also see the return of Steven Robertson as DC Sandy Wilson, Lewis Howden as Sgt Billy McCabe, Steven Miller as Rev Alan Calder, Anne Kidd as pathologist Cora McLean, Conor McCarry as PC Alex Grant, Eubha Akilade as PC Lorna Burns, and Angus Miller as Donnie, Tosh’s partner.

The cast also features several recognizable actors, including Clive Russell from Game of Thrones, Louise Brealey of Sherlock, Ellie Haddington known from Motherland, and Niall MacGregor who appeared in Line of Duty.
