Shiloh Jolie Is Spitting Image of Mom Angelina Jolie in Music Video

People were surprised to see the 19-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in a short clip promoting the new music video, “What’s a Girl to Do,” by K-pop artist Dayoung.

In a short video posted by Starship Entertainment on April 2nd, Shiloh looked strikingly like her mother, sporting large hoop earrings and a gold lip ring, while appearing as a backup dancer.

Fans were quick to comment, with one person writing on X (formerly Twitter) that the person in question clearly inherited great genes from their mother.

“It’s the eyes and the lips for me,” another commenter shared. “Pure Angelina energy.”

Shiloh clearly resembles her mother, Angelina Jolie. In 2024, she officially removed her father’s last name, Pitt, and now goes by Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.

The dancer officially changed her name on her 18th birthday in May, about eight years after Angelina began divorce proceedings from Brad.

Shiloh used the name “Shi” when she created a dance routine for Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki at an Isabela Marant event last June.

Angelina isn’t the only artist in her family. As she explained last year, her children – Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – are all creatively inclined. While some enjoy dancing, painting, or theater, none of them have expressed a desire to pursue acting.

At the 2025 Santa Barbara Film Festival, the Oscar-winning actor told Extra they hope to give their children the freedom to discover their true selves and find a meaningful, lasting purpose in life.

Angelina Jolie first fell in love with Cambodia while filming the movie Tomb Raider in 2001. Later, she traveled to the town of Battambang, hoping to adopt a child from a local orphanage.

She later told Vanity Fair that she didn’t feel a connection with any of her other children until she saw Maddox, born on August 5, 2001. He was lying in a box hanging from the ceiling, and she immediately felt a bond with him, saying she ‘cried and cried’.

She adopted her oldest son as a single parent, but when she started dating Brad Pitt, he began the steps to adopt him too.

Maddox Jolie-Pitt became an executive producer on his mother Angelina Jolie’s 2017 film, First They Killed My Father, because of his interest in her work. The film is based on a book by Loung Ung about the Cambodian genocide. He told People magazine he wanted to contribute in any way he could. He described his mother as “fun, funny, and easy to work with,” adding that “She’s a wonder.”

Maddox studied biochemistry at Yonsei University in South Korea, much to his mother’s delight. In April 2023, he was invited to a state dinner at the White House hosted by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee.

I was so heartbroken to learn about Pax’s early life. Angelina told MSN that he spent the first three and a half years of his life in an orphanage near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Imagine being a little boy, sharing a single room and a tiny iron bed with twenty other children, with absolutely no control over his own life or any freedom at all. It just breaks my heart thinking about it.

Maddox is adjusting well to life with his new siblings, Zahara and Shiloh, and his parents. Angelina explained that he’s quickly embraced this newfound freedom, learning English and blossoming into a loving, energetic, and resilient little boy. He’s a bit rambunctious with all the change, but she describes him as a truly remarkable child.

Pax had an early involvement in filmmaking, fueled by a family connection to the industry. He voiced a character in Angelina Jolie’s 2016 animated film, Kung Fu Panda 3, and worked as a set photographer on First They Killed My Father. In 2018, he accompanied his mother to the Golden Globes.

He assisted with the design of Atelier Jolie, Angelina’s new fashion and tailoring studio in New York City, and also worked as an assistant director on the set of her movie, Without Blood, which was filmed in Italy.

Angelina explained to People that working with her sons, Pax and Maddox, felt natural because a good film set often feels like a family.

When Angelina visited an orphanage in Hawassa, Ethiopia, she brought her then-3-year-old son, Maddox, and introduced him to her older daughter, Zahara, who was born on January 8, 2005. Angelina later told Anderson Cooper that Maddox adored Zahara. Because Zahara was already seven months old when she came home, Maddox saw her a bit like a little sibling he could cuddle and observe.

Similar to her brothers and sisters, Zahara is fascinated by her mother’s work. She’s joined her at red carpet events, helped launch a jewelry line called the Zahara Collection with designer Robert Procop in 2019, and even traveled to refugee camps in Syria to support her mother’s work with the UNHCR.

In August 2022, Angelina Jolie became emotional as she dropped her daughter Zahara off at Spelman College in Atlanta. She shared a video on Instagram saying she was trying not to cry. She later returned to Spelman for their homecoming celebration.

Zahara became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at her school in 2023 and has since traveled with the actress to Washington, D.C. on multiple occasions. She supported the actress during an emotional speech in February 2022 urging the renewal of the Violence Against Women Act, and again a year later when they lobbied lawmakers to pass the Justice for All Reauthorization Act of 2022.

Angelina and Brad welcomed their daughter, Shiloh, on May 27, 2006, at a hospital in Swakopmund, Namibia, several months after announcing they were expecting. In an interview with MSN, Angelina described Shiloh as a joyful and loving baby, calling her “a little honey” and noting her funny personality. She also playfully predicted that Shiloh would be a bit mischievous, seeing some of her own traits in the child.

As a lifestyle observer, I’ve watched Shiloh grow up in the public eye, and it’s been lovely seeing her accompany her mom to premieres over the years. She first stepped onto the red carpet at the Unbroken premiere back in 2014, and since then, she’s joined in the celebrations for films like Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Breadwinner, and the 2018 Dumbo premiere. Angelina Jolie loves when her kids borrow clothes from her closet. Shiloh not only admires Angelina’s charity work, but also appears to be exploring a career in entertainment, recently spending time at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.

Angelina first showed off her pregnancy at the 2008 Independent Spirit Awards. She then welcomed twins, Knox and Vivienne, in Nice, France, on July 12, 2008. After settling into their home, Château Miraval, she told People magazine that life was chaotic but wonderful. She also shared that her daughters, Shiloh and Zahara, enjoyed helping to pick out clothes for the twins and care for them.

Angelina pointed out that her son, Brad, shared many similarities with his grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse, both in personality and appearance. This resemblance was noticeable when they both attended the 2015 British motorcycle Grand Prix.

Following in the footsteps of her older children, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh, Knox had a small voice acting role in the 2016 film Kung Fu Panda 3, playing the character Ku Ku. Angelina Jolie shared with ET that her kids were hesitant about acting but she wanted them to experience it. She said they ended up enjoying the opportunity.

Angelina described her twin brother, Knox, as being similar to their late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, because he prefers to support other artists rather than seek the spotlight. Despite a strong performance as a young Elle Fanning’s Aurora in the 2014 film Maleficent – Angelina Jolie was impressed with her ability to stay on cue – the actress has since focused on work that happens behind the camera.

Angelina explained to People that her daughter, Vivienne, who is listed in the play program as Vivienne Jolie, often keeps her on track. “She’ll point out if I’ve missed something and remind me what needs to be done,” Jolie said. “She’s a very dedicated and serious assistant.”
