Shock as fans find ‘photo’ circulating of Guy Sebastian with a black eye after being ‘arrested’

A fake photo of Guy Sebastian with a black eye went viral on social media on Monday.

In a questionable picture, the 43-year-old Australian vocalist appeared to have a visibly swollen and discolored eye, leading some to speculate whether the image was authentic or manipulated through digital editing tools such as Photoshop or artificial intelligence software.

Although it was evidently a false image, numerous Reddit users found themselves questioning its presence on the web.

‘Anyone else getting spammed with weird fake Guy Sebastian news story ads?’ one person asked.

It’s curious to me how they decide which celebrity to focus on. They should ideally be recognizable enough to pique interest, but not so well-known that people can easily spot their deception.

Originally: He’s in a legal dispute with his ex-manager. So, it seems like launching a public relations counterattack on him could be effective, someone quipped.

He’s currently involved in a court case with his old manager. It appears starting a campaign to damage his reputation might work, one person suggested, jokingly.

More recently, Guy recounted the incident where several LAPD officers pointed guns at him due to a grand theft auto allegation.

The Australian singer stated that someone put a knee on his body, as a firearm was pushed against his face onto damp ground.

In a chat with Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small on Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery in April, Guy shared his harrowing experience.

In 2011, while Guy was residing and employed in the U.S. at the age of 29, an incident took place. This event was subsequently verified by his management to The Sydney Morning Herald during that period.

‘I was living at Ian Thorpe’s house in LA. I was just renting it for a while,’ the singer began.

‘I parked my car there, literally in the driveway, and I came back and it was gone.’

The individual shared with the radio host Smallzy that a shady firm towed his vehicle, which he had bought on eBay, without informing him, and took it to an unknown location unlawfully.

The business was trying to take advantage of a legal gap, enabling them to market seized vehicles that remained unclaimed by their owners after a span of three months.

According to the police, my vehicle was towed away by a towing service. Consequently, for roughly three to four weeks, I’ve been visiting one tow company after another in search of it. This is what Guy explained.

In the end, I paid a visit to the police station for the third occasion, following my interactions with around twenty to thirty tow services. I expressed my frustration by saying it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. The authorities then classified it as stolen, triggering the alert for the tow company.

‘I go to pick it up and they charge me $4,000USD. It’s a scam that they do.’

The individual was leasing an exclusive two-bedroom residence situated in the Hollywood Hills, hidden away from Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, which belonged to the Australian Olympic swimmer.

After retrieving his vehicle from the tow yard, Guy phoned the police department to inform them that the car was no longer lost or stolen.

After spending 45 minutes on hold, Guy chose to drive to a nearby car wash instead, as he waited for his call to be answered by the police.

He grabbed hold of the vehicle, which had sustained significant damage from being towed. He was furious. Jumping into the car, he drove off towards the car wash since the sheriff was located further up the road.

I considered, “Oh well, I’ll head over there once I clean the car.” I didn’t give it much thought. Suddenly, a patrol car parked in the neighboring car wash.

Currently, I’m speaking with the sheriff and another police vehicle just arrived. Moments later, about eight to nine officers stepped out, guns at the ready, shouting, “SILENCE AND LIE DOWN ON THE GROUND!”.

The car’s status as stolen was still active in the police database because Guy hadn’t managed to contact them to update it yet.

Guy stated that he was using Bluetooth in his car when a police officer took his phone and tossed it, shattering it. It felt surreal, like something straight out of a film,” Guy said, finding humor in the situation now.

The individual tried to explain to the officers that there was a misconception and that he possessed the proper documents in the front seat, which he was currently on hold to confirm with the police, yet they declined to listen to him.

Guy stated emphatically, “The gun was directly against my forehead, right up close. I could distinctly feel the cold metal.” As another officer advised him to calm down, he made this declaration.

I had been explaining that the vehicle was mine, but they didn’t listen. Instead, they handcuffed me and forced my head onto a damp patch of concrete.

The individual explained that he was ultimately terminated once his documents were verified and approved, and acknowledged that the law enforcement’s actions were necessary under the circumstances.

‘They’re pretty trigger happy over there,’ he reflected.
