“Shocked” Isla Fisher Reacts to Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban’s Divorce

The actress known for her role in Confessions of a Shopaholic said she was shocked to hear about the recent split between Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

On the October 23rd episode of the Fly on the Wall podcast with David Spade and Dana Carvey, Isla Fisher shared that she recently finalized her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen after 23 years of marriage. The couple had announced their separation last year.

Dana then asked Isla what it was like to have a friend like Nicole—who, like the actress from Wedding Crashers, was dealing with a difficult time.

Honestly, I was completely blindsided by the news. I’ve reached out, but haven’t spoken to him yet. As a mom myself, and knowing there are kids involved, I’m trying to be mindful and won’t be commenting further at this time. It’s just a really sensitive situation, and protecting the children is my priority.

Nicole filed for divorce from Keith on September 30th, just after it became public that they had been living separately since early summer. The couple share two daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret. Following the news of their split, the Academy Award-winning actress recently spoke about dealing with life’s challenges.

The Big Little Lies actress also shared that even when things are incredibly painful, challenging, or heartbreaking, it’s important to remember there’s always a path forward.

Nicole went on to say that you need to allow yourself to truly feel your emotions. Trying to avoid the pain won’t work. It will likely feel overwhelming at times, and you might feel completely shattered. But if you take things slowly and are patient – it could take a long time – eventually, the intensity will fade.

The 58-year-old, who shares 32-year-old Bella and 30-year-old Connor with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, credits her children with helping her navigate life’s challenges and successes.

Nicole shared that being a parent gives her life meaning, as she feels responsible for protecting and guiding her children. She reassured them that she will always be there for them and that they will always have a secure environment to grow up in.

TopMob News has discovered that actress Nicole Kidman is applying for Portuguese residency, and her husband, Keith Urban, is planning to do the same.

According to a source familiar with the matter, Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring the U.S. Applying for the visa requires a personal appearance, so he’ll submit his application when his tour schedule allows.

At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

The couple’s oldest daughter, Sunday Rose, recently shared details about how her parents raise their children, explaining that they have just two main rules at home.

She explained to Nylon that she wasn’t allowed to pursue fashion-related jobs until she turned sixteen. She also said her parents always prioritized school, which she initially resented, but now appreciates. These rules, she believes, help her stay focused and maintain a positive outlook.

Nicole Kidman posted a collection of summer photos on Instagram featuring her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, but her husband wasn’t included in the pictures.

In August, her lawyer drafted a child support document as part of a parenting plan, outlining that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban would share custody of their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Despite winning an Oscar, the actor was designated as the main parent for the children. The girls live with their mother for 306 days each year and with their father (Keith Urban) for 59 days, typically every other weekend.

Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.

Despite being divorced, the parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with their child, treating each other and all family members with respect. They agree not to criticize each other or anyone connected to the other parent, and they will encourage their child to love and feel comfortable with both parents and families.

Urban finalized their divorce agreement, officially notarizing it in August, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

According to the document, Nicole Kidman plans to divorce him because they have differences that can’t be resolved. The agreement also specifies that neither of them will receive financial support from the other after the divorce.

The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.

A week after Urban, the actress finalized the divorce paperwork by getting it notarized and signing the parenting plan.

A judge ordered both celebrities to attend a parenting seminar, unless they request an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

Even though she had already signed the paperwork, she continued to wear her engagement ring at an event held at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.

TopMob News reported that the couple, who began dating in 2005, had broken up quietly.

The actress known for Big Little Lies has officially filed for divorce, stating that they separated on September 30, 2025.

The couple officially filed their divorce and parenting plan with a Tennessee court for approval on the same day.
