Shocking BBC Salary Reveal: Lineker Holds Top Spot Again, But Who’s Close Behind?

Each year for eight consecutive years, Gary Lineker leads the BBC’s yearly tally of top earners and their remuneration.

Recently, Lineker, the host of Match of the Day, stepped down from his position at the BBC ahead of schedule due to a stir caused by some questionable posts on his social media account.

His salary for 2025 was between £1,350,000 and £1,354,999, unchanged from last year’s list.

In addition, Zoe Ball, who recently stepped down from her BBC role as host of the Radio 2 breakfast show, was among the highest earners, receiving a salary between £515,000 and £519,999. She parted ways with the show in December and now presents it on Saturday afternoons instead.

As a movie aficionado, I’d like to mention some other remarkable individuals gracing the top five list: Alan Shearer, the legendary football figure, takes the third spot.
