A popular manga series in Shonen Jump began its final story arc this fall, and publisher Shueisha has announced it will conclude in just a few chapters. This comes during a period of significant change for Shueisha and Shonen Jump, as they look for their next big success, not only in the magazine itself but also on the Shonen Jump+ app. Several long-running series have recently finished, and this one is the latest to come to an end.
The manga 2.5 Dimensional Seduction began its final story arc this fall, but it wasn’t known how long it would last. Now, as the story nears a key moment with a major confession, it’s been revealed (thanks to @WSJ_manga on X) that the series will conclude in just four more chapters. Fans of the manga should definitely follow the remaining chapters closely!
2.5 Dimensional Seduction Confirms Its Ending Very Soon

I’ve been following Yu Hashimoto’s 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, and it looks like we’re nearing the end. The author announced this week that with chapter 196 released, the series will conclude in just four more chapters, hitting a total of 200. The current story arc began with Mikari Tachibana unexpectedly vanishing from school, and it seems like the plot is building towards her finally finding the courage to tell Okumura how she feels – though it’s proving to be quite a challenge for her!
Mikari confessed her feelings to her senpai, Okumura, but she’s anxious about how he’ll react. Okumura has always preferred fictional, two-dimensional girls, a preference stemming from a past experience, and Mikari fears this will affect his response. He’s just as confused about the situation as she is, unsure of what to do next.
What Does This Mean for Shonen Jump+?
This year, Shonen Jump has already concluded over ten series, with more cancellations planned before autumn. Shonen Jump+ has also seen a significant number of series end. It feels like a shift is happening, as popular franchises like Kaiju No. 8 have finished their runs, and others will likely follow. While a few series, such as 2.5D Dimensional Seduction, are reaching natural conclusions, it’s always interesting to see how creators choose to wrap up their stories.
After so many years, fans are starting to wonder how the story will conclude for Okumura and the rest of the characters. It’s sad to say goodbye, especially since this year has already brought a lot of series endings due to cancellations and other reasons. What are your thoughts?
