A popular manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is facing an unexpected delay before its next chapter comes out. Shonen Jump is known for being very competitive – its artists have to publish new chapters every week and constantly vie for readers’ attention. This demanding schedule often pushes creators to their limits, and many have spoken openly about the challenges and unhealthy aspects of maintaining it while working on a long-running series.
Fans are enjoying new anime and manga, but they’re also increasingly concerned about the demanding work schedules manga artists face. Many worry about creators who seem overworked, and now fans are hoping the creator of Kagurabachi, Takeru Hokazono, is doing okay after the manga announced a sudden delay to its next chapter.
Kagurabachi Announces Last-Minute Delay

The latest chapter of Kagurabachi, Chapter 99, won’t be released with the October 27th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump as planned. However, fans won’t have to wait long – it’s now scheduled to come out on November 4th in Japan. The delay is due to unspecified “production circumstances,” and many fans are hoping the author, Hokazono, is taking time to rest and recover before continuing the series.
With nearly 100 chapters released, Kagurabachi has quickly become a popular new series in Shonen Jump magazine. This success means a lot more work for the creator, Hokazono, who has recently produced several full-color pages and magazine covers. Some fans have noticed recent issues seemed rushed, and were hoping Hokazono would take a break. This delay should give them the rest they need.
What’s Next for Kagurabachi?

With the return of weekly episodes, Kagurabachi will immediately resume its intense Sword Bearer Assassination Arc. This arc has been the longest one yet, constantly surprising viewers with new information. We’ve seen increased action from both the Kamunabi and Hishaku groups, showcasing a wider range of abilities. However, even more major reveals are hinted at as the battles continue. For example, a character previously believed to be dead in the first arc recently reappeared, significantly more powerful than before.
Considering the number of enemies and complications appearing, things are likely to get much more turbulent for Chihiro before she can take action. This makes each new installment of the story increasingly crucial. If Hokazono needs a little extra time to ensure these chapters are high quality, that’s a worthwhile trade-off.
