Next week, Shonen Jump magazine will take a break to celebrate the Obon festival in Japan, which usually falls around mid-August for three days. This means that Issue 38 of the magazine will be released a week later than usual. The magazine is set to return on Monday, August 18th, 2025, at midnight Japan Standard Time, but fans in the West can look forward to accessing it on Sunday, August 17th, at 11 AM Eastern Time (ET), 8 AM Pacific Time (PT), 10 AM Central Time (CT), and 4 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Shonen Jump Will Return With Issue 38 in Mid-August
In Issue 38 of Shonen Jump, you’ll find all current stories running in the magazine. This lineup includes “One Piece,” a series that frequently causes excitement among fans due to its occasional breaks. Although it recently made a comeback this week, there will be no “One Piece” next week – but don’t worry, this hiatus is solely because of the holiday and not related to author Eiichiro Oda’s health, which has been a topic of concern among fans due to the series’ long-term serialization. Rest assured, “One Piece” will continue its ongoing flashback in the next issue, delving further into the series’ rich lore.
In the upcoming issue, the ongoing saga of the Sakamoto gang in “Sakamoto Days” will resume, with the storyline progressing as they race to get Sakamoto to JCC’s hospital during the “Final Battle” phase.
