Currently, it’s an exciting period for Swifties as Taylor Swift is set to appear on the New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, her boyfriend. Moreover, she has unveiled her upcoming album titled The Life of a Showgirl. Although details about the theme and content are scarce, several brands have already collaborated for it. Previously, there were rumors about TS 12, and now, attentive fans have discovered hints indicating that Taylor Swift has been subtly promoting the album for some time.
It’s no secret among Swifties that Easter eggs are Taylor Swift’s forte. Even if an Easter egg isn’t immediately recognized or considered a long shot, it could still turn out to be a clue, making her song “Mastermind” particularly apt. Despite the recent announcement of her new album, fans have been revisiting her previous albums and interviews to uncover any clues she may have dropped earlier. For instance, user auniverseaway13 noticed an outfit worn in the “Bejeweled” music video that resembles a showgirl outfit, and while it was nearly three years ago, I believe this could be a subtle hint pointing towards TS 12 (her upcoming 12th studio album).
Though the primary purpose of her adorned attire may have been a nod to the “Midnights” song, as some enthusiasts suggest, it’s hard not to imagine that there was at least a degree of deliberation involved. Although I don’t usually delve into analyzing every detail of Taylor Swift’s releases, searching for potential Easter eggs isn’t my cup of tea, I do enjoy exploring fan theories and marveling at the discoveries made by dedicated fans, even if these discoveries weren’t intentional Easter eggs.
It’s no wonder fans are revisiting the “Midnights” era when looking for Easter eggs in “Showgirl,” since for some time now, fans have speculated that the “Bejeweled” video may have foreshadowed future events due to the distinct elevator buttons seen in different colors. While it might not align perfectly with what’s already been revealed, the similarities are quite noticeable.
In addition to the hidden references in her latest project, there are more potential Easter eggs to uncover. For example, the orange and green outfits Taylor Swift wore during The Eras Tour are believed to be Easter eggs as well. Fans have been speculating about the significance of the orange door for quite some time. Furthermore, the showgirl-themed staging for “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” is another possible Easter egg that fans might enjoy deciphering.

Furthermore, the quote in the tweet hints that Swift enjoys playing coy, a trait she also displayed on The Tonight Show where she expressed her fondness for Easter eggs and openly questioned if one could subtly foreshadow something three years ahead. Consequently, it wouldn’t surprise me if Swift had been hiding Showgirl Easter eggs in her music as far back as Midnights, a release which coincidentally occurred three years ago.
Taylor Swift might have been working on her new album titled “The Life of a Showgirl” for at least three years, but what excites me is the fact that we have a new album to anticipate soon! Although the release date hasn’t been disclosed yet, it’s only a matter of time before it’s announced. Keep an eye out for Easter eggs, as Swift has demonstrated her knack for hiding them in unexpected places numerous times.
