A truly terrifying new horror series is coming to Shudder soon, and it’s bringing together two of the genre’s biggest stars for the very first time on television.
Shudder isn’t as popular as major streaming services, but it boasts a fantastic collection of horror movies and shows for every kind of fan. It’s also where you can find one of the most chilling and captivating found footage horror series ever made.
The show was a huge hit when it first premiered on the streaming service, leading to a second season. That new season is coming out in just a few days, and fans are especially excited because it will feature a first-time pairing of two famous horror stars.
Mark Duplass & David Dastmalchian Will Share The Screen In The Creep Tapes Season 2
As a huge fan of The Creep Tapes, I’m so excited for season 2, hitting Shudder on November 14, 2025! Not only is Mark Duplass coming back as Peachfuzz, but David Dastmalchian is joining the cast too. The trailer showed that he’ll be playing a character who’s basically copying Peachfuzz, meaning we’ll get to see two different takes on the same seriously messed-up killer. It’s going to be wild!
Check out the trailer below:
Mark Duplass is known for many acting roles, but he’s particularly remembered as Peachfuzz from the Creep movies. He’s played the bizarre yet strangely likable character perfectly since the first film. Now that David Dastmalchian is taking on the role, fans are eager to see his unique take on it.
Justin Dastmalchian recently starred in the critically acclaimed horror film Late Night With the Devil (2023), which currently has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. His new project, The Creep Tapes, brings him back to the found footage horror genre, and his ability to play complex, troubled characters makes him an ideal choice for the series.
The Creep Tapes Is One Of The Most Underappreciated Horror Shows On Streaming Right Now
I’ve always been impressed by the Creep franchise. Even though these movies are made with practically no money, they consistently manage to scare and entertain. It’s built a really dedicated fanbase, which is great to see. But, like the first two Creep films, Shudder’s The Creep Tapes just hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves from horror fans, and that’s a shame.
This found footage horror show stands out for how intensely personal it feels – it almost feels like an invasion of privacy while you’re watching. Mark Duplass delivers an amazing performance in Creep, skillfully blending dark humor with genuinely frightening moments, resulting in scenes that are both hilarious and deeply unsettling.
With David Dastmalchian joining the cast, horror fans have one more great reason to tune in to the Shudder show.
