Humanity is approaching its end.
In a world consumed by hopelessness and disorder, an unusual religious entity known as the Shuten Order arises, seeking the demise of mankind. This enigmatic organization swiftly amasses supporters, eventually establishing their own independent nation, which they call Shuten.
A terrible event occurs during the lavish celebration marking their country’s origin story-the chief of the Shuten Order meets an untimely death. Shortly afterward, the main character regains consciousness, only to find themselves with no recollection of past events. Two individuals who claim to be celestial beings appear before them. They disclose a startling revelation: the protagonist is actually the deceased Founder, miraculously restored by divine energy. The revival process, however, is far from complete-their memories are lost, and their existence is limited to a mere four-day lifespan.
To survive, the protagonist must overcome “God’s trial”: identify and kill their murderer.
Under the pressure of time, the character known as Rei, assuming the role of a detective, plunges into the chaotic urban landscape. The prime suspects? They are five high-ranking officials from the Shuten Order. With insufficient time to examine each one thoroughly, difficult decisions need to be made, and the search for the truth may necessitate some sacrifices.
Who killed the Founder? For what reason? Can the mission be fulfilled before time runs out?
Thus begins a high-stakes, four-day hunt for the truth.
