Sia’s estranged husband Dan Bernad is seeking more than cheap thrills.
In the ongoing divorce, 47-year-old Dan is asking for $250,856 each month in temporary support from his soon-to-be ex-wife, known for her song “Chandelier,” according to documents recently obtained by TopMob News.
Sia’s husband, a radiation oncologist, described their relationship as very luxurious, with frequent expensive dinners and private jet vacations, according to court documents. He shared that after their marriage in December 2022, Sia surprised him with a Porsche 911 Targa 4, fulfilling his lifelong dream of owning one.
Dan has revealed he’s currently out of work and has no income. He claims Sia, the mother of his 18-month-old son, Somersault Wonder Bernad, stopped providing financial support for their Modern Medicine clinic on April 1st, as stated in court documents. He also mentioned his radiation oncology certification has lapsed and would take “several years of training” to reinstate.
He stated in a legal declaration that he needs court orders because he relies on his ex-wife, Sia, for financial support. He described her as the primary earner during their marriage and said she is able to continue providing him with financial assistance to help him maintain his current lifestyle.
Besides asking for alimony, Dan also asked Sia to pay $300,000 for his legal fees and another $200,000 to cover the costs of investigating the finances with a forensic accountant.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for Sia and Dan for comment but has not heard back.
