Side-scrolling co-op horror game Lost Railway announced for PC

Polden Publishing and Crossbridge Game Studios have revealed Lost Railway, a cooperative horror game with a side-scrolling perspective, coming to PC via Steam. Players can sign up for a closed playtest right now.

Here is an overview of the game, via Polden Publishing:

About

I’m so excited about Lost Railway! It’s a really cool 2D horror game you can play with up to three friends. The world is super dark and creepy, but you get to play as an adorable little animal trying to survive. Basically, you’re all traveling on a train through a wasteland, searching for supplies to keep it running. You’ll explore abandoned bunkers, fight off some seriously scary monsters, and hopefully make it back alive with your crew. It sounds like a blast!

Key Features

  • New Dimension of Cooperative Horror – Team up with four players in the first cooperative 2D quota horror. Atmospheric visuals meet high-intensity extraction survival gameplay.
  • Loot Your Way Out – Every run is a desperate trip for loot, tools and resources for your train. Grab everything worth carrying and make it back alive.
  • Cute Animals and Terrifying Monsters – Play as cute yet resilient animal survivors in a world full of scary monsters. Very charming on the surface, but horrifying underneath.
  • Some Battles Are Won By Running – Fight common and elite enemies with scavenged weapons. Beware—invincible enemies can’t be stopped, only avoided.
  • Every Second Counts – More loot keeps your train moving, but every bunker door is on a timer. Control your greed and scavenge fast—supplies are scarce, and the clock is ticking.
