Beyond remakes, completely new *Silent Hill* games like *Silent Hill f* and *Silent Hill: Townfall* are also being developed. However, many fans are still hoping to see older, beloved games in the series get a fresh look.
Silent Hill 2 DLC Not in the Works, Says Actress
Rumors started circulating earlier this year about downloadable content for *Silent Hill 2*. This DLC would likely focus on the “Born from a Wish” story, which was previously added to updated versions of the original game. This storyline follows Maria’s experiences in Silent Hill before James arrives. The *Silent Hill 2* remake even hints at this story, showing Maria becoming anxious near a disturbing house featured in “Born from a Wish.”
Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, the actress playing Maria and Mary in the *Silent Hill 2* remake, has stated that there are currently no plans for downloadable content (DLC). She revealed this during a Twitch stream, which upset many fans. While some believe she’s keeping quiet due to a non-disclosure agreement, she could have simply avoided answering the questions. Her direct denial suggests DLC is unlikely. Another theory suggests she might have unknowingly recorded lines for DLC during the main game’s production, but this seems improbable.
