Silent Hill 2 Voice Actor Says She Has Not Been Contacted for Born From a Wish DLC

With the upcoming release of *Return to Silent Hill*, there’s been talk of a potential DLC for the *Silent Hill 2* remake, reportedly called *Born From a Wish*. Salóme Rannveig Gunnarsdóttir, the actress who played Mary Shepherd-Sunderland and Maria in last year’s *Silent Hill 2* remake, recently shared during a Twitch livestream that she hasn’t been asked to contribute to the DLC so far.

Gunnarsdóttir’s denial of involvement could simply be due to a confidentiality agreement, which are common for unannounced projects. However, if she’s being truthful, it suggests either the downloadable content is still in early stages of development and work hasn’t begun, or that her characters won’t play a role in the story of *Born From a Wish*.

Okay, so I’m hearing some really exciting stuff! It sounds like Konami is finally going to reveal the *Born From a Wish* DLC soon. But that’s not all – the rumors are really picking up that they’re also planning to announce *Silent Hill 2* is coming to Xbox Series X/S! Apparently, this announcement will happen around the same time as the release of *Return to Silent Hill*, and they’re also supposedly going to reveal that *Silent Hill 2* will be getting some upgrades for the PS5 Pro. I’m so hyped if all of this turns out to be true!

Industry insider AestheticGamer reports that Bloober Team is expected to soon announce Xbox versions of the *Silent Hill 2* Remake. They also suggest a patch for the PlayStation 5 Pro will likely be revealed around the same time as these announcements. Additionally, downloadable content called *Born From a Wish* is expected to be announced in the near future, potentially coinciding with the release of the upcoming *Return to Silent Hill* movie, which is based on *Silent Hill 2*.

Last year, *Silent Hill 2* launched on PC and PlayStation 5 and was a hit with both critics and players. This success led to Bloober Team being chosen to remake the very first *Silent Hill* game. The studio recently announced the start of this remake during a meeting with investors, and also shared that a second team within the company is currently developing five additional projects.

Following the release of our new horror game, *Cronos: The New Dawn*, we wanted to share an update on our development plans. We have two internal teams currently working on games: one is rebuilding *Silent Hill 1*, and the other has begun work on a brand new project. In addition to these, we’re also working with five external teams on five different projects.
