As a fan, I’m really into collecting the Omamori in Silent Hill f! They give Hinako some awesome special abilities when she has them equipped. There are a *lot* of them to find, so it’s going to take a while to get them all. You even need to play through New Game Plus to unlock the four Omamori that are exclusive to that mode!
This guide for Silent Hill f details every Omamori in the game, along with explanations of what each one does.
Hidden Omamori
Throughout the game, you can find 17 Omamori hidden in both normal and New Game Plus playthroughs. The first thirteen are listed below:
Whale
When using a restorative item, you will not be interrupted by normal attacks.
Ebisugaoka
Okay, so when I was doing the ‘Investigate the house’ part, after I grabbed the Bloody Key, I needed to find the Back Door Key. It was in the room right across from where I found the first key. Once I had that, I took it downstairs to unlock the door that leads back outside. Then, I climbed down the ladder and the exit was right there on the right.
Cat
Greatly decreases the damage taken while Dodging.
The Path
While completing ‘Find the correct Ema (0/3)’, go to the left side while facing the Ema and locate the Cat Ema. Turn it over to discover the Omamori. It’s best to get this before you begin the puzzle, but if you can’t interact with it, try again after finishing the puzzle.
Pine
Increases Max Health.
Ebisugaoka
While completing ‘Head to Rinko’s house’, locate the Doctor’s house by traveling north. Walk around to the back and find a ladder to climb, allowing you to enter through a window. Once inside, go back downstairs and search a large chest with drawers – one of them contains the Drawer Key. Bring the key upstairs to the first room and use it to open a drawer holding the Local Doctor’s Note. Then, go through the now-open door into the next room and open the closest drawer on your left to find the Omamori.
Spider
Greatly decreases weapon durability consumption from performing Light Attacks.
Ebisugaoka
As you proceed with ‘Head to Rinki’s house’, find the Key to Sakuko’s Mailbox. It’s located a little ways past the gate leading to the saving point, on your left. Once you have it, return to the very beginning of the area. You’ll find Sakuko’s home close to the Store, and the Omamori is inside the mailbox there.
Hawk
Greatly decreases Focus charging time.
Corridors
As you ‘Find where the voice is coming from’, keep going past the door until you reach a room. You’ll find the Omamori on a table at the back of the room.
Hand Mirror
If you would normally take damage that would kill you, this mirror will shatter instead. This will completely refill your Health, Sanity, and Stamina.
Corridors
During ‘Find Fox Mask’, in the same room with the saving point on a table opposite.
Wolf
This ability causes extra damage when you use weapons that are long-lasting. It only works on weapons that have durability-meaning they can wear down with use.
Ebisugaoka Middle School – 1st Floor
As you progress through ‘Obtain the key to the mountain’, you’ll encounter a puzzle in the locker room. The Omamori is located in the final locker, which belongs to Tsuchiya Taiko and can be opened with the combination 377.
Bull
Greatly decreases Stamina consumed by Heavy and Charged Attacks.
Hall
To find the Omamori while completing ‘Return to the Grand Hall’, go to the top right and enter the locker room. Then, proceed further into the room to the back area, where you’ll find it resting on a table to the left.
Horse
Greatly decreases the amount of Stamina consumed when sprinting in fights.
Ebisugaoka
To reach Shu’s house, continue forward, going past the pond, then up the stairs and over the footbridge. The path on your right will take you to a save point where you can find this Omamori.
Crow
Slightly restores Health after defeating an enemy.
Main Hall – 1st Floor
As you progress towards ‘Reach the second Ritual Chamber’, locate this Omamori. It’s hidden behind the door that’s furthest to the left when facing the saving point.
Suzuran
Perfect Dodges become easier to perform.
Ebisugaoka
While you make your way down the mountain and head to the Shimizu residence, search behind the house. You’ll find this Omamori during a combat encounter back there.
Cuckoo
Greatly increases damage inflicted while in a near-death state.
Shimizu Residence III
As you’re completing the ‘Find the crests (2/3)’ objective, a secret room will become accessible right after you locate the second crest. Go back to the save point, and then move up and to the right, about halfway down the hallway – you’ll find a new passage leading upwards. Proceed through two doors to arrive at a room featuring a desk covered in bloodstains, where you’ll discover the Omamori.
Hound
Slightly restores current Max Sanity after defeating enemies.
Treasure Hall
While you explore the area, go through the doorway shown by the statue. Then, take the first door on your right to discover this Omamori resting on a table.
NG+ Hidden Omamori
You can find 4 more Omamori only when playing New Game Plus. The Brooch you acquire lets you reach areas, chests, and doors that were locked off in your first playthrough.
Shrew Mole
Dodging does not consume Stamina while in a near-death state.
The Path
Okay, so I’m working on the ‘Find the correct Ema (0/3)’ quest, and I just discovered a new area down in the bottom right corner of the map. Once you cross that long footbridge, keep an eye out! The Omamori is hidden at the base of a tree over there. I almost missed it, but it’s definitely worth checking out!
Rabbit
As a fan, I’ve learned that if you time it right and hit a Heavy Attack right after a Perfect Dodge, you can pull off a really strong Counter! Just be warned, it uses up a lot of Stamina, so don’t spam it!
Ebisugaoka Middle School – 1st Floor
When you Explore Ebisugaoka Middle School, begin outside. Go to the classroom on the left and climb in through the open window. Directly in front of you, you’ll find the Omamori inside a box on the table.
Swallow
Successfully blocking an attack with a Counter, without first being locked on to an enemy, will increase the damage you deal. This effect can stack up to five times, but the counter will reset to zero if you take any damage.
Hall
As you’re working on ‘Find the missing object to fit in the device (0/3)’, go down the hallway from where you saved, all the way to the end. Then, squeeze through the narrow opening on the left. After you get through, turn right immediately and go through the door. You’ll find the Omamori on top of a small writing table.
Goat
Take less damage when facing multiple enemies. Scales with the number of enemies.
Ebisugaoka
When you attempt to ‘Open the gate’, go inside the cabin found in the bottom left corner to retrieve the Gate Key. You’ll find the Omamori resting on a table immediately inside the entrance.
Collecting all 17 hidden Omamori unlocks the “Omamori Sage” trophy/achievement. However, it’s worth noting that the Hand Mirror might only be available on Story difficulty, so getting all of them may not be possible on other difficulties.
Saving Points Omamori
Saving Points let you trade in-game currency for 23 different Omamori, which are presented in a random order. The first Omamori costs 300 money, and each one after that gets 100 money more expensive, until it reaches a maximum price of 1,000 money. This maximum price stays the same for the eighth Omamori and all the ones you buy after that. If you were to buy all 23 Omamori, it would cost a total of 20,200 money.
The randomized results of draws cannot be gamed by reloading a save.
Unlike the hidden Omamori, the entire pool of 23 purchasable Omamori is available in normal mode.
Bamboo
Increases Max Sanity.
Bear
Greatly increases stun power when weapon durability is low.
Beetle
Greatly increases damage inflicted to stunned enemies.
Butterfly
Greatly decreases Stamina consumed by Dodging, but you are unable to continuously Dodge.
Camel
Decreases current Max Sanity consumed by Charged Attacks.
Clam
Decreases enemy line of sight.
Crab
Weapon durability will not decrease when using Focus.
Daisy
Sanity and Stamina are unlimited, but Hinako will die instantly from any physical damage.
Dolphin
Slightly restores current Max Sanity after a Perfect Dodge.
Elephant
Prevents Staggering from normal attacks, but greatly increases damage taken.
Kudzu Leaf
Increases Max Health, Sanity and Stamina.
Mantis
Slightly restores Health after each successful Counter.
Otter
Restores spare weapons’ durability upon defeating an enemy.
Owl
Greatly decreases Sanity consumption while using Focus.
Plum
Increases Max Stamina.
Sakura
Enhances the effects of Health restoring items and Omamoris.
Serpent
This item will automatically initiate a Counter when you see the visual cue, but using it slightly reduces your maximum Sanity. Also, your Sanity will replenish more slowly while this item is equipped.
Swordfish
After countering an attack, Stamina will not be consumed for a set time.
Tanuki
Turns physical damage received into Sanity damage.
Turtle
Greatly decreases damage taken at full Health.
Weasel
Normal attacks will deal significantly more damage, however, Hinako will lose the ability to stun opponents.
Willow
Enhances the effects of items and Omamoris that restore Sanity.
Collecting all 23 Omamori from the save points will unlock the trophy/achievement “Omamori Collector“.
Those are all the Omamori to be found throughout Silent Hill f.
