Silent Hill f – How To Get All Endings

To experience the complete story of *Silent Hill f*, you’ll need to unlock all of its endings. Interestingly, you can only achieve one ending during your initial playthrough. But don’t worry – completing the game once unlocks New Game+, giving you access to extra content and the ability to pursue alternate endings! Want to unravel the mysteries of Ebisugaoka? We’ll guide you through getting each ending with minimal spoilers. Just keep in mind that these instructions are specifically for New Game+.

How To Get All Endings | Silent Hill f

Home to Roost

This is the standard ending you’ll receive when you finish the game for the first time. You’ll unlock it simply by completing the story once! You’ll also get this ending if you don’t fulfill the requirements for any of the other endings when starting a new game after beating it.

Fox’s Wedding

Most players consider this the unfavorable ending to the game. To understand why, here’s what you need to do:

  • Didn’t take the red capsules. This means not consuming any of them during the whole playthrough. It’s also recommended not to pick them up at all, especially at Shu’s Workshop on your 4th visit to Ebisugaoka.
  • Purified the Sacred Sword, or didn’t obtain it. We recommend just ignoring it entirely for this ending, although obtaining it and purifying it right now could make it easier to get other endings. We’ll explain this in more detail later.
  • Obtained the Agura no Hotei-sama. This is a special item you can find after completing all three rituals in the Dark Shrine. Note that the in-game item name is actually “Hotei-sama Sitting Cross-legged.”

Your primary objective is to locate the Agura no Hotei-sama. You can find it in a hidden area within the Dark Shrine after you’ve finished all three rituals. Please refer to the video for detailed directions on how to get there.

You’ll achieve this outcome if you still have the Agura no Hotei-sama, avoid taking red capsules, and either don’t possess the Sacred Sword or have it purified.

The Fox Wets Its Tail

This is the easiest alternate ending you can achieve in New Game+; it only requires completing two things.

  • Didn’t take the red capsules. As before, this means not consuming any during the playthrough. We also recommend not picking them up at all, just in case.
  • Obtained the unpurified Sacred Sword. You’ll need to complete the Jizo Statue puzzle, unless you’ve already done so in a previous playthrough. We’ll go into more detail on this later.

Meet these two simple criteria and you’ll get this ending upon completing the main story.

Ebisugaoka in Silence

This is the most important ending! It’s generally considered the real conclusion to the story of Silent Hill f, and as such, it’s the hardest one to unlock. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Complete two other full endings. This means you need to have at least two other real endings marked as completed on the save where you attempt this ending. That includes all endings besides the UFO ending, “The Great Space Invasion!”
  • Didn’t take the red capsules. Same as the previous endings with this requirement.
  • Purified the Sacred Sword. You need to make sure to both get and purify the Sacred Sword in this playthrough.
  • Offered the Brooch.

Finally, there’s a special step to complete this ending. Before your fifth visit to Ebisugaoka and reaching Shimizu Residence, you need to locate an additional Jizo Statue – it’s the one pictured above. Once you find it, interact with it to offer the brooch.

Keep in mind that choosing this will make the brooch unavailable for the remainder of your game. This means you won’t be able to open any doors or boxes requiring the Inari-sama key from this point on. It’s not a major issue, but it’s important to remember if you’re aiming to unlock the “Inari’s Secrets” trophy.

The Great Space Invasion!

Finally, here’s a humorous, classic “UFO ending” for this Silent Hill game. Here’s how to unlock it:

  • Listened to the UFO radio broadcast.
  • Found all 3 of “The Great Space Invasion” movie posters in order after listening to the UFO radio broadcast.
  • Found “The Great Space Invasion” movie review after fulfilling the conditions above.

Just a reminder that this isn’t a complete ending. Because of this, it won’t unlock the “Ebisugaoka in Silence” ending, so please keep that in mind.

How to Get and Purify the Sacred Sword

Okay, so I’ve been figuring out how to get all the endings in Silent Hill f, and it turns out the Sacred Sword is super important! To get it, you need to find all 5 Jizo Statues hidden around Ebisugaoka. Each statue needs a special item – you find one near each one to basically ‘appease’ it. You have to do this for all five statues in the *same* playthrough to unlock the sword. It’s a bit of a hunt, but totally worth it if you want to see everything the game has to offer!

Just a reminder: the Sacred Sword and Jizo Statues are only obtainable after completing the game once (in New Game+). You won’t find them during your first playthrough.

If you’ve already found the Sacred Sword in a previous game, you won’t need to find it again in future playthroughs. It will automatically be available at the second Jizo Statue!

With that said, let’s quickly go over the location of all 5 Jizo Statues and their items.

Jizo Statues Locations

The first statue is located right at the beginning of the game, as you’re making your way to Chizuruya for the first time. Look for it near a red mailbox close to Hinako’s house. To make an offering, you’ll need a Faded Bride Doll, which you can find inside Hinako’s house after it’s been unlocked, in the eastern part of the area.

You’ll find the second statue on your way to Rinko’s house. From the fields, take the north path to the tool shed. The statue’s offering, a Rusted Flask, is a little further north, just outside the Sennensugi Shrine.

If you previously unlocked the Sacred Sword, you’ll find it on this second statue.

The third statue is located just before you get to Ebisugaoka Middle School. To activate it, you’ll need the Broken Japanese Geta Sandal. You can find both the statue and the sandal right before meeting up with Shu and Rinko to go inside the school.

The fourth statue is located just before you reach Shu’s House, positioned between the Hokora and the house itself. To find its offering, the Cracked Hibachi Brazier, head to the back of Shu’s House, right outside of his workshop.

The last statue is being delivered to the Shimizu Residence, and Dad’s old kitchen knife is the offering. You can find both of them on the main path, just a little northwest of Shu’s House.

Now that’s finished, you can head back and get the Sacred Sword. Go southwest from Shu’s House and climb the mountain. Find the glowing tree marked on the map – a cutscene will play automatically, and you’ll receive the Sacred Sword.

Purifying the Sword

To make the Sacred Sword fully functional, you’ll need to solve a bell puzzle. This puzzle becomes available after you finish all three rituals at the Dark Shrine. You can find it in the same area as Agura no Hotei-sama; the video above shows the exact path to take.

Once you reach the puzzle area, examine the large stone tablet – it will give you a hint. Basically, you need to ring three bells in a specific order, timed with the sound of the bamboo fountain. The correct order is Volcano, Waves, and then the bell with the tree symbol.

The puzzle is solved when you hear a foreboding sound and the water around you turns red. Once that happens, you can proceed with the story as usual until you get back to Ebisugaoka.

Important: Before you proceed, we suggest creating a backup save file. This will let you easily reload and experience multiple different endings without having to replay the game repeatedly.

When you visit Ebisugaoka again, be sure to check out the shrine close to Shu’s House. You’ll discover a well filled with red water. Using it will cleanse the Sacred Sword, completing the process!

Now that you have all the necessary information, you’re ready to unlock every ending in Silent Hill f. All that remains is to discover what each ending actually involves.
