The first official review of Konami’s *Silent Hill f* is in, and it’s a hit! Famitsu gave the game a score of 36 out of 40 – a perfect nine from each of their reviewers. This makes it the highest-rated *Silent Hill* game the publication has ever reviewed, surpassing last year’s *Silent Hill 2* remake which received a 35/40.
Players consistently praised the game’s immersive atmosphere, beautiful graphics, and engaging sound design. The intriguing story kept them hooked, making it difficult to put the game down. While combat was surprisingly enjoyable, particularly the timing-based counterattacks, players less comfortable with action games might find it difficult, even on easier settings.
Konami has confirmed the game will have multiple endings, including a return of the classic UFO ending. Completing the game once unlocks additional content, like new cutscenes. Players can expect to spend around 12-13 hours on each playthrough, and one reviewer described the experience as emotionally challenging at times.
Silent Hill f will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC starting September 25th. If you purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition, you can begin playing two days earlier, on September 23rd.
