Konami’s Silent Hill games are famous for their challenging puzzles, and the newest installment is no exception. If you’re stuck, don’t worry! We’ve solved the school locker code puzzle for you, and you’ll find the solution below.
If you’d prefer to watch instead of read, we’ve included a helpful video guide above. You can also find it on the TopMob Gaming YouTube channel.
We loved the puzzles in our Silent Hill f review, but we know they can be really frustrating if you get stuck, and that can ruin the story for you.
We also have a guide to help with the boss fights, similar to the style of Sakuko’s guides.
We’re confident that when the Silent Hill 1 remake is released, we’ll be there to help players navigate the challenges, just like before.
However, many gamers consider the most challenging task to be figuring out the correct order to play the Silent Hill series.
Okay, so if you’re anything like me, you’re probably exploring a seriously spooky Japanese school right now and totally freaked out! But let’s not waste any time and just get to solving these codes, alright?
Silent Hill f school locker codes puzzle

To continue to the mountain, you just need to open one locker – Asakura Ayumi’s. The code to unlock it changes based on the game’s difficulty level.
To proceed, you first need to locate Ayumi’s locker. A note in the Second Floor Classroom reveals she discovered a key to the “Key Box” – the one we need to open – and it’s probably hidden inside her locker.
I also got the Old Annex key, which is awesome! Now I need to check out the two classrooms on the east side of the building. I’m told there are some notes hidden there, but they’re written in a secret code they call ‘girl code’ – sounds intriguing!
Note from a Male Student, reveals that a student, Satou, received a note with “84*8”.
A further clue shows this actually spells out “BAKA,” which is Japanese for “stupid.” It explains that the numbers and symbols are used to represent letters: 8 stands for B, 4 for A, and the asterisk (*) represents K.
Ayumi’s classroom is located at the west end of the annex building. The attendance sheet on the teacher’s desk shows that Ayumi’s seat is in Row 4, seat number 2.
If you search her desk, you’ll discover the key to the locked locker room, along with a note whose contents change based on the game’s difficulty.
Once you have the key, it’s time to go to Ayumi’s locker and enter the code.
Asakura Ayumi Story difficulty locker code
If playing on Story mode, the note will say the following:
“I’m a mermaid. The sea is calling out to me. I can’t believe this school doesn’t even have a pool!
“The sea! THE SEA! The best thing in the world! It’s so lovely, it’s now my locker combination!”
It seems the word is SEA, and if we interpret that using ‘girl code,’ we can figure out the locker combination is 534.
Asakura Ayumi Hard difficulty locker code
If playing on Hard mode, the note will say the following:
I’m a tortoise, and it sounds like the school bus is here! I just wish I’d known school was going to be so far away!
“Bus! BUS! The best thing in the world! I love it so much that I made it my locker combination!”
The code focuses on the word “BUS”, but it’s not a straightforward translation. You previously learned that “BAKA” has a specific meaning, and your Journal now reveals that “U” represents the number 6 – the reason for this isn’t clear.
This means that BUS is girl code for 865.
Asakura Ayumi Lost in the Fog difficulty locker code
If playing on Lost in the Fog mode, the note will say the following:
“I decided to make the combo for my locker something I love!
“You can poach it, fry it, and even boil it. No matter what, it always comes out delicious!
“And if you add flour and sugar and mix them all together, you can make a cake!”
Okay, so figuring out this puzzle, the key ingredient is actually EGG. It wasn’t stated directly anywhere, but I noticed that the letter ‘G’ kinda looks like a flipped ‘9’. So, if you think about it, EGG becomes 399 – that’s how I cracked it!
All Silent Hill f school locker combinations
You can find extra lockers to open, and it’s definitely worth the effort – they contain helpful items. Like with Ayumi Asakura’s locker, you’ll discover notes nearby that give you clues to the combination, or explain how to solve the puzzle.
The codes remain the same regardless of the difficulty level you choose, so you can use them in any game mode.
Aoi’s locker code
In Ayumi’s classroom, there’s a folded paper origami called ‘Origami of Grievances’ at the back. It contains a clue: the combination to something is the same as the name ‘AOI’.
This means that Aoi’s code is 401.
Inside the locker is another Origami of Grievances that contains a clue for the next locker.
Suga Yosie’s locker code
A note titled “Origami of Grievances,” discovered in Aoi’s locker, suggests that Suga’s behavior appears to be a sign he needs help.
A three-character cry for help is SOS. (save our souls).
SOS then becomes 505.
Inside, you will find Hinako’s school bag, which increases your inventory size by one.
Tsuchiya Taiko’s locker code
Okay, so I used the Generic Classroom key and went up to the second floor. I walked down the east hallway and opened the classroom that’s facing north. In the back of the room, I found another one of those Origami of Grievances things. It gave me Tschuiya Taiko’s locker combo – it’s 377, just so you know!
Opening her locker will give you the Omamori [Wolf], which makes Hinako do extra damage when she uses weapons that are very durable.
