The trailer for Silent Night Deadly Night revisits the 1984 horror film about a boy who sees his parents murdered by someone dressed as Santa Claus. Years later, deeply traumatized and seeking a warped form of revenge, he becomes a killer himself, ironically dressing as Santa to unleash a terrifying holiday rampage.
With Christmas Eve drawing near, a quiet town finds itself targeted by a terrifying killer who punishes those who’ve been bad. This film mixes psychological chills with intense violence, a hint of the supernatural, and surprisingly, even a touch of romance, creating a fresh and frightening twist on the classic holiday horror story.
The new film is directed by Mike P. Nelson, known for his work on Wrong Turn and V/H/S/85. It reunites original producers Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead (from the 1984 Tri-Star movie) with Jamie R. Thompson of New Dimension, and adds Erik Bernard as a producer.
Rohan Campbell, known for his role in Halloween Ends, and Ruby Modine, from Happy Death Day, lead the cast of the film, playing Billy and Pamela respectively. Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson also star. Filming wrapped up in spring 2025.
Since the filmmakers behind the Terrifier movies are also responsible for this remake, and knowing how graphic those films were, the trailer suggests this one will be intensely violent, brutal, and filled with gore. It looks like the axe will be a major weapon throughout the movie!
Silent Night, Deadly Night will be released in UK & Irish cinemas on 12th December 2025.
