Instead of drugs and alcohol, it’s said that Sir Rod Stewart plans to bring his personal trainer with him for his Legends performance at Glastonbury.
The renowned musician-composer, aged 80, will appear on Worthy Farm this coming Sunday for a performance on the Pyramid Stage, taking over the prestigious Legends spot.
After a recent illness that caused him to cancel five performances, Sir Rod is taking all necessary measures to make sure he’s at his peak health for the upcoming event.
As I share my insights with you all, let me spill the beans about how things are shaping up backstage for our upcoming event this Sunday. Rest assured, our main act, Rod, is in peak form and eagerly awaiting his time on stage. He’s fit as a fiddle and brimming with energy, ready to deliver an unforgettable performance!
‘His trainer works wonders so it was a no-brainer to have them at the festival.’
According to the report, Sir Rod has been swimming laps in his pool four days a week and taking a break from singing to make sure his hoarse voice is performing optimally. He’s been preparing this way.

The source mentioned that it’s been challenging due to Rod’s talkative nature, yet he recognizes the importance of protecting his most potent asset – his voice.
It seems the order of songs for the star’s performance over a span of 90 minutes remains undisclosed, however, it’s rumored that popular tunes such as Maggie May, Sailing, and Downtrain Train will be included in his set.
Sir Rod and his wife Penny Lancaster, together with the band, are currently lodged at an expensive hotel in Bath, which costs approximately £1000 per night.
Instead, three of his kids – Alastair who’s 19 and Ruby among them – chose camping passes when they bought their own tickets, as per the no-complimentary-tickets policy at Glastonbury.
Instead, it was mentioned that they won’t be sleeping in their tents during the festival; instead, the children will be accommodated at the luxury Pop-Up Hotel, which is quite expensive, with a total cost of approximately £30,000 for the entire event duration.
Despite much excitement, it seemed the rockstar’s performance at the festival might be called off as he confided to The Sun prior that he was considering cancellation due to falling ill with the flu.
A week ago, I was contemplating calling off [something], but it turned out to be quite a close call. Unfortunately, I had caught Influenza A and it was extremely unpleasant.
Three notable visitors, Mick Hucknall, Lulu, and Ronnie Wood, are expected to make an appearance this coming Sunday. These individuals have been rumored to be in attendance.

Following the disclosure that Glastonbury did not grant Rod an additional 15 minutes on stage for his sought-after Legends slot, even though he incurred a loss of £180,000 to perform there.
The 80-year-old said: ‘It’s difficult because they only gave me an hour-and-a-quarter slot.
‘So I begged them, “Can I do another 15 minutes? Because usually I play for two hours.”
‘This implies that many popular songs I can’t perform are out there, and I have three visitors expected.’
In 2002, the artist known for “Maggie May” last graced the stage at Glastonbury. Recently, he announced that his bandmate from The Faces and the Rolling Stones’ guitarist, Ronnie Wood, will join him in a future performance.
At the moment, Sir Rod holds a residency in Las Vegas and has already put on 217 shows. However, due to an invitation from the organizers of Glastonbury Festival, he will be skipping certain performances, which comes at a significant cost.
He informed Radio Times that he was asked approximately eight months ago, and though the timeframe might have been slightly extended, the task didn’t align with his schedule due to the necessity of returning everyone from America.
Considering the expenses for shipping, setup, and other related costs, a man with seven children stated that the project would cost approximately £300,000. However, he mentioned that the compensation received was around £130,000.

‘So, it’s going to cost me.’
However, Sir Rod emphasized it wasn’t important and clarified that he wasn’t being frugal out of concern for his team. He also made clear that his dancers and musicians would travel in Premium Economy class from Las Vegas to the UK.
He added: ‘We’ve got a little orchestra coming on to play with us and we may have some bagpipes.
I’ve dressed up the entire band in formal attire. Everybody is wearing white jackets with black ties, while the ladies are adorned with sequins.
‘It’s a bit more Las Vegas than it’s been before because obviously, I’m doing my residency.’
The artist behind “You Wear It Well” is scheduled to perform during the prestigious afternoon Legends slot next Sunday, but concerns are growing about his ability to perform due to having to either cancel or reschedule six of his June shows in the U.S. because he was dealing with the flu.
