An olive branch is being extended in Kody Brown‘s family tree.
Madison Brush, one of Janelle Brown’s six children from the show Sister Wives, suggested she might be open to reconnecting with her father. He ended their nearly 30-year marriage with Janelle in 2022, and Madison explained what he would need to do to repair their relationship.
I’m willing to try and fix things, forgive, and move forward,” she said on the November 30th episode of the TLC show. “However, if he wants to be a part of our lives again, he needs to prove he can be reliable and consistent.”
And Janelle agreed, saying in a confessional, “It would be a lot for Kody to make amends.”
Despite their distance, the 56-year-old believes families can remain close. She points out that the father of her 18 children has been friendly lately and has even talked about wanting to rebuild their relationship.
Janelle told Madison, who has four young children with her husband Caleb Brush, that someone said they wanted to visit Raleigh and have dinner with her. Janelle thinks this request might be related to Madison’s family and children.
She mentioned Kody reached out to her twice following their son Garrison Brown’s death: once on the anniversary in March, and again on what would have been Garrison’s 27th birthday in April.
“It was fine,” she said of their conversation, adding, “I guess I could go to dinner with him.”
Madison isn’t eager to reconcile with Kody, especially since he’s now only married to Robyn Brown following recent splits from wives Christine Brown and Meri Brown. She’s explained that it required extensive therapy for her to process their difficult history.

She shared on Instagram in October that learning her father was publicly spreading false information about her was a harsh lesson. She also mentioned she regularly sees a therapist, which has been very helpful, and believes therapy could benefit anyone dealing with a complicated family situation.
New episodes of Sister Wives air every Sunday on TLC.
