Skate 4 – Backwash Goals Guide

Skate 4 has plenty of tough challenges, and the Backwash Goals are no exception. You’ll need to complete four objectives, and we’ve created a guide to help if you’re stuck.

Heelflip to Manual

Let’s break down each trick you have to pull off:

After successfully landing a Heelflip, you’ll immediately transition into a Manual. The Manual helps you link tricks together. To do a Manual, gently pull down on the right stick – this will balance your board on the back wheels.


Grab 360 Spin

To achieve this, you need to do a 360 spin off the statue. First, build up some speed. Then, as you reach the top, perform an ollie.

To turn, use the left stick to steer left or right. To grab something, hold down the RT or LT buttons on Xbox, or the R2 or L2 buttons on PlayStation.

FS Pop-Shuvit to Grind

To reach your goal, head to the rail below where you began. But first, build up some speed by using the ramp.

Once you’re on the rail, to do a FS Pop-Shuvit, quickly move your right stick downwards and then upwards along the right side, but stop before it reaches the very top. This will rotate your board in front of you.

Now it’s time to grind! After landing your FS Pop-Shuvit, you can grind by pulling down on the right stick for a 50-50, slightly left or right for a 5-0 or Nosegrind, or quickly move the stick sideways to do a Boardslide or Lipslide. Make sure to do this immediately after the Pop-Shuvit to register the grind.

Best Sequence – 600

The simplest way to achieve this is to build up speed and then do a front flip off the ramp right in front of the statue. You’ll land back on the ramp, giving you a chance to do a Manual, or any other trick you prefer.

A front flip is worth over 300 points, making it easy to complete the combo with a manual and just one more trick.

The Backwash Goals challenge is actually quite manageable. It mainly involves performing a few combination moves and earning points. Once you get the hang of those moves, you’ll likely complete the challenge quickly.
