The new, free-to-play version of Skate has had a somewhat mixed reaction from players, but the developers at Full Circle are planning some major improvements in Season 2 to address those concerns.
The big new update for the skating game launches on December 2nd. You can get a sneak peek at what’s coming in this funny trailer.
Okay, so Season 2 is dropping and it’s packed with cool stuff! They’ve seriously upped the replay system – it’s way better now. Plus, there’s a brand new game mode to jump into, and a ton of fresh tricks to learn. Honestly, I’m super hyped to check it all out!
Here’s a breakdown of the main attractions:
- Own the Lot mode: This is a new co-op mode in which you and your fellow skaters must complete as many objectives as possible within the time limit. You’ll all earn rewards based on how well you do.
- Party voice chat: A much-requested feature is being implemented, allowing you to party up with others and engage in voice chat.
- New tricks: The Season 2 update adds Impossibles and several variants to the trick pool. On top of that are improvements to handplants, increasing the number of handplant tricks from two to 16.
- Improved replay editor: New options for the replay editor are being added. A new advanced editor mode lets you toy with enhanced trimming, keyframes, new framing options, and more.
