The physics-based skateboarding game known as “skate” is set to debut in Early Access across various platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App) on September 16. This exciting announcement was made jointly by publishers Electronic Arts and developers Full Circle.
According to Full Circle’s explanation, the Early Access debut encompasses fundamental skateboarding elements such as the revamped Flick-It trick system from earlier games. Players will also have ample content to explore together in San Vansterdam. The ultimate version, however, will grow out of Early Access, incorporating additional challenges, new features, live events, and gameplay enhancements based on player input.
The studio aims to transition towards a complete launch, estimated to be around one year after the commencement of Early Access.
Here is an overview of the game, via Electronic Arts:
Enjoy enhanced control with Flick-It, offering an authentic skateboarding experience packed with genuine “skate moments” that you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, immerse yourself in the vast online world of San Vansterdam for endless off-board exploration and multiplayer interaction.
