Skate has been in early access for a few weeks, and a big content update is coming up soon.
On October 7th, the free-to-play skateboarding game will begin Season 1, which lasts until December 2nd. Check out this trailer for a quick preview of what’s coming:
This seasonal update will completely change the look of San Vansterdam. It will add new places to skate and new challenges, as well as improve the overall graphics.
So, they’re adding a couple of cool events! First up is Skate-o-Ween – basically their Halloween take, which sounds awesome. Then there’s the 7-Ply Maple Harvest. They’re saying both events will change up the look of the community parks to fit the theme, and we can earn some sweet cosmetics using in-game Tix. You get Tix just by participating in the events, so it’s a win-win!

Season 1 includes 40 fresh challenges that will change each week, and we’re also launching new Seasonal Tasks. These tasks will give you objectives to complete daily, weekly, throughout the season, and during special events.
We’re also introducing the Skate Pass, available in both free and premium versions. Both tiers unlock exciting rewards, including new clothing items, skateboards, and more!
On top of all that, the soundtrack is being refreshed with 21 new songs. These include:
- Bad Religion – Against The Grain
- Dinosaur Jr. – Freak Scene
- Gang Star – Full Clip
- Jane’s Addiction – Stop!
- Sonic Youth – Teen Age Riot
- Joey Bad4$$ – Pardon Me
- Ice Cube – Bop Gun (One Nation)
