After the debut of Skate’s early access version, developer Full Circle shared a Development Update video featuring what players can expect at launch. The video additionally unveiled the early access development plan, divided into seasons packed with new locations, challenges, seasonal activities, cosmetic items, collaborations with notable brands, and various improvements to gameplay quality.
As a gamer, I’m excited to dive into the action when Season 1 starts on October 25th! It comes packed with two festive events – the Skate Pass, and some enhancements for the user interface and PC variants.
Then, December rolls around and here we go again with Season 2! This time, there’s a fresh co-op mode called Impossibles and Improved Handplants to try out. Plus, two more seasonal events, party voice chat, and an upgraded Replay Editor for even better gameplay experiences.
Starting from Season 3 (and continuing further), you can expect some exciting additions such as customizable player parks, new gaming modes, leaderboards for competition, extra character slots for cosmetic items like tattoos, and innovative tricks like Darksliders and Expanded Footplants. Upon release, there will be four neighborhoods to explore, each packed with challenges for players and servers supporting up to 150 players at a time.
The game titled “Skate” is set to debut on September 16th, available across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, next-gen Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Cross-progression and cross-platform play will be supported, allowing players to continue their progress and compete with friends regardless of the device they are using.
