It’s really hard for indie games to stand out in the current climate.
With so many great things already available, a project needs something special to really stand out and get noticed.
Skate Story is an adventure game with a unique premise: you play as a glass demon tasked by the devil himself to skate all the way to the moon and eat it. Successfully doing so will grant you freedom.

How many magic mushrooms did it take to dream up that premise, eh?
Here’s the full blurb, courtesy of solo developer Sam Eng:
Skate through the desolate world of The Emptylands, completing a challenging quest with ollies, kickflips, and grinds. Perfect your balance and movement to navigate the broken city, and find beauty in the skill of landing a flawless kickflip.
The game’s music will include original tracks by New York artist Blood Cultures, and you can hear a sample in the new release date trailer.
Great news! It will be released on December 8th. We know there have been a lot of new releases lately, but there’s still time to check this one out before Christmas!
