It’s a bird, it’s a plane—it’s Tom Welling on a red carpet.
Former Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum recently appeared on the red carpet with his wife, Jessica Rose Lee Welling, at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. They were there for the premiere of his new movie, Chasing Summer.
On January 26th, Tom dressed in brown pants and a matching shirt. He added a black and white polka dot scarf and topped it off with a black wool coat.
Jessica changed into a long-sleeved black dress. She finished the look with a bold black ring and styled her blonde hair in an updo, leaving two strands to frame her face.
This public appearance is a special one for the couple, who got married in 2019. Tom and Jessica, parents to Thomson, 7, and Rocklin, 4, haven’t been photographed together at an event since 2021, shortly after their second child was born.
At the premiere of Chasing Summer—a film starring Tom, Lola Tung, Megan Mullally, and Cassidy Freeman—Jessica shared a video of her husband and co-star, Iliza Schlesinger, who also wrote the movie’s script.
In the video, Iliza and Tom took pictures together on the red carpet. Iliza then jokingly told the camera that she kissed Tom’s on-screen husband, but described the experience as feeling like kissing a ‘honey baked ham’ because he was very sweaty.
Jessica playfully responded, “I already knew that!” and later shared a caption about kissing her husband in the St. Louis summer, tagging photographer @ilizas as the source of the photo.
The premiere wasn’t the only special event that day – it was also Jessica’s birthday, and Tom went out of his way to make sure she felt loved.
The Cheaper by the Dozen actor posted a sweet photo on Instagram of him kissing his wife on the forehead, with Jessica smiling for the camera. He wished her a happy birthday in the caption, writing, “The universe became a better place when you arrived!”
Jessica commented that the post was incredibly cute, and shared her affection by saying, “I love you so much, you make everything wonderful!”
