
Since it began in 2001, Adult Swim has become well-known for its unique and often strange late-night shows on Cartoon Network. It’s become a favorite among adults thanks to popular animated comedies like Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Unfortunately, one of its most recent and highly-rated shows won’t be back for another season, which is disappointing news for fans.
The animated series Smiling Friends on Adult Swim has concluded after three seasons. Creators Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel announced the show’s cancellation in a video on X (formerly Twitter), despite previously being renewed for two more seasons. Zach Hadel emphasized that the announcement was genuine, stating, “Michael and I are here to announce that Smiling Friends will be ending after Season 3.”
