Jimmy Fowlie is seeking assistance amid a family crisis.
A writer for Saturday Night Live is asking the public for help finding his sister, Christina Downer, who hasn’t been in contact since late November.
He shared on Instagram on December 22nd that his sister is missing and they fear for her safety. He included her missing person’s report and noted that while her married name is Downer, she might be known as Christina Fowlie.
The 40-year-old actor, known for his roles in comedy shows like The Comeback, The Other Two, and English Teacher, mentioned that Christina, 38, was last seen in Los Angeles and asked anyone with information about where she might be to contact authorities.
He asked people to share the information in case anyone recognized her and could provide details to the police.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that Christina, the missing person, has brown hair and brown eyes. She is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 120 pounds.
Jimmy received support from several close friends, including his former “Saturday Night Live” castmates Bowen Yang, Chloe Fineman, and Sarah Sherman. They helped amplify his message by reposting it on their Instagram Stories.
Jimmy started writing for the NBC sketch show in 2022, before its 48th season began. He contributed to popular sketches like “Domingo,” which featured cast member Marcello Hernández and guest host Ariana Grande, and became a viral hit in October 2024.
Beyond his work on television, this Emmy winner created and performed a one-person play called So Long Boulder City. It was a comedic take on the one-woman show featured in the 2016 film La La Land, performed by Emma Stone’s character. He’s also written and acted in various web series, including Go-Go Boy Interrupted, which won a Queerty Award for Best Web Series in 2017.
