Every time Housemarque shares a short gameplay clip of Saros, it makes us even more excited to play the roguelite, third-person shooter.
The studio has struck gold once more with a new video, this time set in a particularly unsettling and atmospheric location.
Okay, so from the title of the video, it looks like we’re dealing with some kind of hidden base, and it’s filled with really strange, alien technology. The coolest part? It has this huge, open area right in the middle – I can’t wait to see what’s there!
The area feels like a dark, metallic cave with things flying around like bats, and the strange sounds add to the eerie atmosphere. We’re excited to explore and see what we discover.
Recent previews of Saros have generated a lot of excitement and offered new details about its gameplay. They’ve also highlighted both the similarities and key differences between Saros and the game Returnal.
Saros focuses on being more accessible, offering many lasting improvements. Compared to the studio’s last game, playthroughs are typically shorter, and it’s much simpler to resume your progress instead of restarting from the beginning each time.
Saros will be released around April 30th, 2026! Let us know if you’re excited in the comments!
