Fans of the anime Solo Leveling will have a new way to watch it on flights! Starting next month, Delta Air Lines will offer Solo Leveling, along with other popular anime, as part of its new in-flight entertainment system.
Crunchyroll and Delta Air Lines are teaming up to bring five popular anime series to Delta’s in-flight entertainment system. Starting in early November, passengers on over 940 Delta planes—over 165,000 seatback screens total—will be able to watch episodes of shows like Solo Leveling, Black Clover, My Roommate Is a Cat, and Horimiya. The content will be available to members of Delta’s SkyMiles program.
Solo Leveling, Black Clover & More Fly Onto Crunchyroll’s New Delta Air Lines In-Flight Service
Since premiering in Winter 2024, Solo Leveling has become a global sensation. Produced with Aniplex, Crunchyroll’s parent company, the anime is based on the popular web novel by Chugong. It takes place in a world where individuals called “hunters” fight monsters in special locations called portals. The story follows Jinwoo Sung, who starts as the weakest hunter but gains access to a powerful system that quickly makes him incredibly strong, even surpassing the most skilled hunters. The show is celebrated for its beautiful animation and thrilling action, and it was named Anime of the Year at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Delta Air Lines has partnered with Crunchyroll to offer popular anime, including Solo Leveling, as part of its SkyMiles program, recognizing the artistic value of anime. According to Sarah Downs, Delta’s Managing Director of In-Flight Entertainment, each flight offers a chance for discovery. She explains that anime’s compelling stories and emotional depth are ideal for travelers, and this collaboration demonstrates Delta’s dedication to providing diverse and top-quality in-flight entertainment for all its customers.
I noticed that Delta is expanding its entertainment options beyond just seatback screens. They’re now making Crunchyroll’s huge library of anime available through the Delta Sync Wi-Fi system. And here’s a nice perk for SkyMiles members: they’re offering an exclusive 24-hour free trial to Crunchyroll. This lets passengers enjoy the full catalog of shows and movies both during their flight and after they land. As of October 23, 2025, that’s over 25,000 hours of content, including around 2,000 different titles! Terry Li from Crunchyroll mentioned they’re excited to bring the immersive world of anime to Delta travelers, both longtime fans and those new to the genre.
