Fans have a reason to celebrate! After a year-long wait, we finally know when Season 3 of Solo Leveling will be released.
D&C Media, the South Korean company that publishes the popular series Solo Leveling along with other online novels and comics, recently shared its financial results for the past year. According to the report, they anticipate the third season of Solo Leveling will be released between 2027 and 2028.
The projected 2027 release window is the first official confirmation . If Season 3 does release sometime in 2027, the waiting period between it and Season 2 would be about two years. A 2028 release for Solo Leveling Season 3 would push it up to three.
Solo Leveling Finally Reveals Official Season 3 Release
Currently, Crunchyroll has yet to confirm a Season 3 release window for Solo Leveling, nor has it officially confirmed Season 3 is in production. However, did provide an optimistic update in early June.
Pirini didn’t directly confirm a third season of Solo Leveling, but he assured fans that Crunchyroll is excited for more episodes, just like they are. He added that the creators are currently working on it, and an announcement should be coming soon.
Crunchyroll’s president, Rahul Pirini, isn’t the only one avoiding discussion about a third season of Solo Leveling. During an interview at CCXP Mexico ’25, both the anime’s animation producer, Atsushi Kaneko, and action director, Yoshihiro Kanno, surprisingly declined to comment on Season 3. Kaneko explained to Crunchyroll’s podcast hosts that he wasn’t authorized to confirm its production publicly.
, has tried to keep fan expectations in line regarding the release of Solo Leveling Season 3, while admittedly having a little fun with them. In April 2025, Le sincerely answered fan speculation by saying Solo Leveling Season 3 “won’t be coming out for a while.”
This is in reference to the sharp turnaround from Solo Leveling Season 1, released on Jan. 7, 2024, and Season 2, which premiered on Jan. 5, 2025. Not to mention Solo Leveling: ReAwakening, the Season 1 compilation movie that launched globally in December 2024.
The team behind the Solo Leveling anime has been hinting to fans that Season 3 is on the way, without directly confirming it. They’ve shared several subtle clues suggesting a big announcement is coming soon.
Despite not winning at the 2026 Anime Awards, the official Japanese social media for Solo Leveling acknowledged the show’s nomination and expressed gratitude to fans.
The official X account announced that the show received both the Best Animation and Best Action Anime awards at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. They also thanked fans worldwide and encouraged them to anticipate more from Solo Leveling in the future.
